I like Menewsha for its Art Discussion. I mostly lurk around here. I'm usually at KOFK or Solia. Anything is better than Gaiaonline, the majority of the people are rude. Its Art Discussion is okay, but its crowded with Art requests and even some of the people there are snappy too.
But I'm sure this thread is nothing new.

Well, why do you not like this site? What do you think could make you like this site more?

in my opinion this site is better and i have on both. both the site are forum based but i think that gaia has gone more towards the games then the forums and the gold issue has gone out of control. this site its easy but hard to earn gold and you don;t get the starter items which makes the items you do get worth more to the person who bought it.

I like Gaia better because I feel it's more relaxed. The people on this site seem nicer though, but there are so many damn forum rules. It's ridiculous. Just a little too strict, in my opinion. It does reduce spam, yes, but it can be a little more relaxed.

If I can add to this discussion, I've been on Gaia for years, and they do have one thing there that I would dearly love to see implemented in Menewsha: better sorting abilities in the shops. I would love it if Menewsha could work out tabs like the shops in Gaia do so that I could sort between pants, tops, accessories, and things like that. The way the shops are set up on Menewsha is really giving me a headache!

No. I agree, Gaia is better. Like one of the user's above said, this site is too strict. Also, the gold earning is unfair, you're forced to post/talk just to get enough gold, and some people just don't feel like talking some days. This site also needs more/better games, more tabs (Like another user above mentioned), better organizing of the shops, and the events shouldn't be in the forum only, they should be seperate from the forum, as well as the event games. The only thing this site has that reminds me of Gaia is the fact that you can't delete your account, and this site tends to have a lot of items that look way too much like Gaia's items, coincidence? Doubt it. The only thing I like about this site is the hair selection in the avatar page, lol.

1) This is a community site. The games aren't the focus here, it's just a nice addition that I'm very grateful for, especially the site-specific games.
2) How is forcing to interact in a community in order to be rewarded unfair?
3) Shop organization is on its way, I'm sure, but if you're having trouble finding something you can probably ask someone in Avatar Chat.
4) What is strict about preventing people from bumping and spamming? That doesn't foster community development at all.
5) Earning gold isn't even that difficult. You can earn 500 a day from games alone, and infinitely more by contributing meaningful content in threads.

I really appreciate the effort the staff here takes to ensure quality control, which I think really sets Menewsha apart from Gaia Online.
Lol but that's like, my opinion, man.
P.S. What bullshit it is that Menewsha copied Gaia Online's panda slippers omg

Don't forget how Menewsha stole Gaia Online's concept of wearing clothes! That's the biggest crime of all.

Well, I don't mind if I offend people or not- it's their own fault for not recognizing that yeah, my opinion is allowed to differ from theirs- so here goes. Yes, I see stuff on here that my first thought is "Didn't that item look like this on Gaia?" Big frakking deal, I think. Everyone wants to go with what's popular or in, so of course sites will have similar items. But my god, Menewsha's item selections are so gender biased! I look at the shops and want to scream because it seems totally sexist to me. Am I the only one who feels that way?
But thank you for giving me hope for the tabs... thank you so much for giving me hope for shop organization...

In what way do you think they are gender-biased, Evetwo? Could you be more specific?
Just for your information, in case you didn't know, the items you view in shop changes according to the gender of your avatar. If you had a male avatar, you would see only unisex and male items, same goes for the females. You can't view items specifically for another gender.
Admittedly, there are more items for females available as comapared to males, but that is true for many other avatar sites as well, as there are generally more females and female avatar users as compared to males.

Evetwo: I saw a discussion in another thread (can't remember which, it was in the halloween forum though) about making a petition to make more unisex items. You should look them up and see if they're still planning on doing that.
Iroase: The complaint that I heard is that since the male/female bases are different, they can't just use the gender glitch to wear the clothes they want to because they don't fit right. Or something like that.

LOL, I find it SO funny when people come from Gaia and accuse us of copying Gaia's items, when we brought them out FIRST.
xD
People really should do a little bit of research before they start pointing fingers

I used to be a member on gaia but I came over here because it's supposed to have nice people and easier forums to follow. No to mention I really like the avatars compared to the gaia site because they look a whole lot better. Gaia was a great site don't get me wrong I loved it I spent every free hour I had on it but they people got more and more rude as the years went by and I couldn't keep up with the demands of people wanting my art so I decided to quit.

To be totally frank and honest, I can't see why this many people would be on Menewsha if they didn't really like it. Yes, I like Menewesha, but sometimes I'm a little too busy with it.
