I have a few thoughts, just minor little tidbits, and I would love to hear supporting or opposing views in a calm, non-assertive manner.

I've only been on this site for a short time now, but I wanted to bring up something I've noticed. There are so many forum rules. Just a little too strict, in my opinion. I agree with the rule that states you cannot "bump" a thread by posting "bump." It definitely reduces spam and irrelevent posts.

I also agree that you should do your best to place your thread in the correct forum. However, I was thinking that maybe this rule could be stretched a bit for event forums. For example, the current Halloween event forum. There are only so many things you can talk about pertaining to Halloween. How many times can you tell everyone what you were for Halloween? Or where you went? Or what you did? Word games and things are fun and make me want to continue to earn bones and such. I'm not much of a chatter, so games are the only way to get me to touch the forums, really. I would just like to feel a little more relaxed posting in the forums (and yes, I've read the forum rules).

Most of my observations here are simply a personality issue, since I don't like to chat a lot on forums, but I'd love to hear opinions on the topic. Does anyone else think the forum rules get a little strict? Is it fine the way it is to you?

Just wondering :3

You can talk about anything in the halloween event area, it doesn't have to be halloween related  i just got out of a convo about fluffies and games xD so, yeah

our rules aren't as bad as you think, just takes some time getting use to - im on a forum where you get a warning if you post less than 6 words in a post, or have more than 5 smilies in a post (even if the post is several paragraphs long and have them scattered throughout), so we have it easy compared to there xD lol

I like the forum rules, I feel relaxed posting in the forums, if I've not been there for a while or ever I usually give the rules sticky in that forum and quick read just to remind myself if there are any specific to that forum. I have had one infraction when I joined but that was me being forgetful and though I freaked at bit at first because I never got one on any other forum I'd been on. I took a little break and now they can't get rid of me. :XD

The event forum is pretty relaxed, you really just hang out and chat about anything and everything.

As far as I'm aware this place doesn't have that many more rules than other places. You'll get used to it.

With the Halloween event, I was referring to a thread that was moved because it "didn't belong in that forum." Looking back, I guess I can understand why, but it had me a little confused at the time.

I personally don't feel very relaxed in the forums, and I hope that will change soon.

@Le Coco~ I don't even have six words to say half the time xD That makes me feel a bit better about this.

I'm really not complaining though. Each forum site is different, so it's really not fair to compare them. That's like comparing people to each other... I get compared to my brother all the time and I hate it.

Thanks, both of you, for your input :)

I agree, I think this site is too strict. I'm also the same way, I'm not really the talking type and much rather play games most of the time, so having to mostly post/talk is a bit annoying :|

For me, I always love creating avatars on new sites I've found. However, forum-based sites are basically the only ones that have avatars like this. (There are always MMORPGs, but the good ones aren't free). Being a forum-based site, it implies that there is an emphasis on the forums. I kind of jumped the gun making this thread because I was a bit perturbed about the one I was in getting moved. But these posts I've made in this thread probably equal the amount of text I've posted in any other threads combined xD
With this in mind though pertaining to the emphasis on forums, I would love more games to choose from. My favorite is Harbor Fishing. That may be because it seems more worth it than the others. I'm horrible at Tetris, and the other games take a long time to accumulate a decent stock of gold. With Harbor Fishing, you're in there for a set amount of time and the payout is wonderful C:

Now here's something positive: I really do love the fact that if you edit a post to add or delete text, the gold amount you receive is edited as well. Not many sites do that, I don't think.

More games will come when the few developers we have have time to take a breather and work on them.
xD
We don't have that many, and every month they work hard on CI's and then work on common updates and events and... eeep.

The rules aren't that bad, though it might all be me being used to ti after 1.5 years.

I've been here for a month and I don't think they're that bad. Not from day 1 really.

Like I said, I jumped the gun a bit. The more time I have to really think about things on this site, the better it seems for me.

And I don't care much for the CI's :P But I do understand that it takes a lot of time and money to make games.

Don't worry, most people jump the gun in the first 10 minutes, its good to see someone understand why something is done the way it is and jump back in :)
