O - O personally I haven't actually seen her outfits before...they kind of scare me...and I like Visual-kei style stuff, even the hardcore ones, so that's saying something :sweat:

I agree with Aoi. Besides, isn't it a -little- hard to imagine what this... erm... 'clothing' would look like on the Mene bases? :sweat:

Demand is a strong word, but perhaps a bit too strong.
I think the admins respond better to gentle sugestions then demands ^.^ On a second note htough I LOVE GAGA!. And I would make them work! |
I could see the bubbles being part of a "bathtime" CI (bubbly boob protectors? xD)... the rest I don't think would look good, even if they would fit on the Mene bases.
I think the main issue is that Lady Gaga's style is very niche and sensitive to the time period she's in (think about how awful clothes from the 90's are... and think about where we'll be in 10 years.... yeah). I'm of the opinion that Mene in general should avoid items that are like that, as we should be appealing to a broader audience (speaking in lieu of the recent announcements about Mene's finances). So... it's probably unlikely that the Lady Gaga items will appeal to very many people right now. But I totally support the bubbles as part of a bathtime CI xD My avi wants a shower to stand in! :illgetu: |

Yeah, I saw her VMA performance... She is just weird as hell. Good music but I cannot stand watching her videos or seeing her person at all..

I htink little bits of them would be wonderful...specially the bubbles. The Hello Kitty one was for Kitty's birthday. I watched the episode where they took the picture a couple days ago... :D |
I'm all for Gaga clothes, Visual Kei, more Gothic and Gothic Lolita items. More... unique items that make the avatar and their user be able to express themselves behind the screan - y'know? That'd be amazing lol

I have no problem with Lady Gaga clothes on Mene. As long as Menewsha is not breaking any copyright laws, I'm all for it. The outfits can be a but crazy, but there are people out there who can be just as crazy and expressive as her. I like some of her outfits because she dares to wear it. She doesn't care what people say she just wears it or wears nothing. Like the bubbles, thats cute. Her VMA outfits were very funny and only 1 or 2 looked pretty to me. I'm not a rabid Gaga fan, but I at least admit that I support darkraven's "demand" for Lady Gaga items on Menewsha.

Honestly, I respect a lot of what Lady Gaga is doing for the music industry. She's doing her best to be the Madonna of 2010 and puts a lot more thought into her work than the average public would recognize.
But the entire point of her fashion is to push the boundaries. By copying her style, we'd be displaying all the traits that she personally goes against. If you want to use Lady Gaga as an inspiration, it should encourage you to explore new fashion concepts, not mimic those of others. :yes: But with that said - I think it'd be pretty cool if we interpreted a few elements of her outfits. Not all of it would really look right with our bases, but there are bits and pieces that could be fun. |
I agree with Knerd on this one. Crazy outfits, heck yeah. Ripoffs? Not so cool. :)
