Also, judging from the calendar in the Information Desk, June seems to be our best bet. It's in between Menewsha-exclusive events (Phoenix Jubilee and Celes Paradi to be specific), and those two events aren't held every year.

September also isn't a bad time, but November is right smack in the middle between Halloween and Festival of the Winter Nights. Plus, the end of the year seems to be the busiest time for most people because of exams and whatnot.

In short, June or September. xDD;; <3<3

Just so you guys know.....feast of fools(or rather a casino this year) is planned for june....I am helping with that one. But I'd be more then willing to help with this one too ^.^

We would totally need to get alot of undies as prizes for the event :O

Please, please, please I hope that never happens. No one would want them after a while. I just started I love this more than any other avatar forum site I have seen so far. I am actually beginning to see all the flaws that one site has(you know who I am talking about)

Uhhh.... no. I don't think that's needed. One... we're not gaia. Two, starter cloths suck. Three, I wouldn't have noticed your avi was nude unless you said so XD

I don't like this idea, I think we should work for our own items and such. I mean, look at my boxers.. xD I have more than enough money to buy pants, but I'm not concerned right now. I just think it's better to earn your own.

At first I was miffed I got nothing and my friend had even donated me 500 gold so I wasn't naked. I didn't even have my glasses!!!

It's a mixed bag for me...I remember the first clothes I bought...it's oddly sentimental

I do not understand why everyone wants Menewsha to be like Gaia. Gaia and menewsha are two very different sites, and menewsha is a site of its own kind. Different from the average avatar site. And we are proud of it.
Starter sets are a horrible idea. And they probably would not be the most attractive clothes either. So everyone would have these cheap ugly clothes that are worthless and clogging up your inventory. And they probably would not be sellable, so you would not be able to get rid of them.
So when you actually get nice clothes, you will not even wear these starter sets. They would be worthless.
So really I do not think that starter sets are a good idea.

I think Menewsha should stay as it is. If we picked up starter sets... well, it's sort of stupid, anyway. I know a number of sites where there's huge problems, and look, they all have starter sets.

Maybe it's because the starter sets are ridiculously ugly, but everyone always complains about them, nonetheless. I'd rather have started out here than have started out on a place where the starter set would haunt me and probably never leave my inventory.

I like starting out fresh. And being naked.

Starting out naked is part of what makes Mene fun. I have a friend who just joined, and he was asking me about how to get clothes, and he seemed scandalized at first about not starting out with anything until I explained that everyone started out that way. It's part of Mene's charm, really.

Well um when we were born from our moms we were naked ;) We have interesting underwear I must admit (what's up with the flower?) this is the only avatar site I've been on so I have nothing to compare it to.

It's a heart on the undies.

When you first join gaia its all like:

'NEWB! NEWWWWB!!' -Because you're in starter clothes (Which incidentally suck alot more than the rags you got when i joined)

But here, people are nice. They understand you're saving for your first set and let you get on with it without judging. They only judge you on your conversational and posting technique, which is why gaia forums suck these days.

I left Gaia because of their forums, and that to get anything decent I have to shell out tons of real life money. I like it here where if I work/take place in conversation I get reward. It oddly makes me want to contribute real money to the site more. :D

There's nothing wrong with being nude when you first join a site. :3 As someone else noted, everyone here started out in their undies. And besides, making gold on here is quite easy so you should be able to afford an outfit in no time.

Not to mention there are charities that will donate cheap outfits to noobies.

At first I was very surprised that when you start,you don't get anything.But after being on Mene for a little bit..I kinda like it! Now I want to go quest for some undies..

Well I do not have anything against a nude avatar...it's just that I usually post in fourms where people have such cool avatars and I am practically nude.hehehe.I dont have anythign against nude avatars but they just happen to stand out more is all that I am saying :3

I like just wearing tights and I should go on a quest for tights and stockings.:yumeh2: As for starter sets that is just wrong because we need to stand out and not become a Gaia Clone.
