I used to have an iPhone and I did a little App Developing and I've now got my EVO. I'm just starting to get into android app development and the first thing I thought of was a menewsha App. Menewsha is the primary site I go onto at the moment (aside from facebook) and I think it would be quite nice to have a streamlined app. I'm thinking about making an app for Menewsha surfing but I'm not sure what it should include. I do understand that i don't own menewsha in any way shape or form so at the moment I couldn't release anything onto the market, assuming I follow through with the project. I figured I'd post here for a few reasons.

1. I'd like to hear what everyone would like to see on an android Mene App

2. If there is a possibility of one being made by those above already

3. To help out menewsha.

Basically I want to know how many people would use said app. So not only would those current menewshan android users have a nice app, but menewsha could have a new medium for user exposure. I know it's a longshot, but with a nice app we could have the possibility to expand our userbase. If one is being made then I'd be excited to see what is in the works, however if one isn't being made then, given permission, I'd be happy to work closely with the current admin to get one out there. :yes:

Development wise, they can't even make the site work properly on all desktop browsers, without even throwing mobile development into the pool. Seems like getting the site 100% operational in the primary medium would be the priority over expanding into mobile.

Just my two cents, though. Not representative of any sample size.

I think if you made your own app for mene... all it would really need is browsing and posting, and depending on how big your screen is, maybe games too. But I don't got an andriod thingie... so your call =)

By the way... how exactly DO you make an app?

I'd like a mobile app, but, I don't know if it would be worth the development cost for mene right now. :)
But, something for the future, I'd like to see it happen.

Personally I have an EVO so screen size is perfect for not only browsing but gaming as well. At first it would be optimized for the EVO but I'd expand depending on feedback from EVO users.

As far as development costs, yes, it would be nice to get something for the work I put in, so honestly I'd probably charge something like $1 for the app itself, however I would be fine with that being my only payment for developing the app, so as far as development costs, it wouldn't actually cost menewsha anything. I need to build my portfolio anyways so why not help menewsha in the process? :)
