Avater Colour / Re-Colour Items
 

So as you may know my orginal avi colour is gold (skin and shoulder)
but as i post on people's profile my avi turns awesome greyish look which I think suit perfectly for the avii

what do you guys think?? I want mene to make item re-colour option, like Solia has.. I think it be pretty cool :heart: Will god of mene Inso hear my calling =3

That's an old CI though. There is the white skin available in the bases selection, would that not suit your purposes?

Jelly.. whats an old CI?? o.o and nope hehe I was just curious hehe cause my avi shows on that greyish colour it look amzing for my theme, the re-colour is just a suggestion.. I wasn't complaining <3

Of course it is Jelly :p but I meant mene could do re-colour ((like ink shop where you can combine inks with CI's)) then use some sort of invisible ink to turn it back to original colour <3 I think that be awesome for people to try different aviis using colour combos

I think what Jelly means is, "It's an old rare item. It's plausible that the userbase would object and I would like to hear more from people on what they think of the idea of recolored rare item series."

I used to think the recolor felt like a loss of idea's on a real item. Gaia did it....magivolve did it. I never much liked it.

That would take a TON of coding wouldn't it?

Also, isn't the zombie skin that color?

They actually had a few that they recolored, and where not a result of the glitch.

The Travelers Bag, the hand flames......and I can not remember the name of it but the chinese shirt looking thing.

Well I never really thought about it til I saw my avii (skin and shoulder pad) in that colour. for me it looked awesome and I know solia online does it so its just a suggestion =3 but it sure does sound like heck loads of work to be done tho in creator's side

Just throwing this out there, but what if it were only a few (less than five) different recolors such as suited the item?

I'm just curious if it'd be a good compromise seeing as some users want it and some users do not.

Cora is not completely against recoloring.

She is against releasing a new CI to have it only be an old CI in a different color. It has a cop out feel. Never liked it on gaia or Magi. If there was another way to achieve it like maybe donating extra on top of the normal two CI's then I'd be all for it.

I gotta disagree with you on it wont be a rare any longer part as it be still rare or even rarer as there be less of the actual same colour item... I didnt mean every single colour just as CK mentioned above what if there is only certain colours that you can combine to make a colour different for example Midas touch comes in gold.. what if you can only re-colour it in whitish/grey or teal (not sure if teal suitable but just saying) or Bone warrior (everyone loves it) what if it only re-colourable in red or gold or brown.. wouldn't people actually come with more creative use of the items rather then most people come with similar look

CK I actually love that idea.. I didn't think about this option through when I posted it but I think it be nice if you did it like that so you can only recolour certain CIs with Certain Colours :angel: good thinking :heart:

Cora, I am not sure if you got what I meant.. I actually didnt mean to release the same item again, I only meant with the old CI that actually been released to be able to re-colour it. Like there could be a shop or even special item could be released as a next month CI extra (like the golden mystic horn for march CI) or Event specail for halloween or even just a store for inks which let you combine certain colour with CI's that already been released and going to be released to make a new colour item.. just paint the latest Alter Ego CI with Yellow to make the suit Yellow and Blue instead of Black and Blue to match with other items..

It is an interesting idea, though I think it should have to be donated for. Mene needs revenue.

I was just voicing my opinions on recoloring popular items as new CI's, sort of like gaia has the golden halo and then later came out with the mythril halo. Sites seem to think this is a good idea for some reason. It could have come to the table at some point.

I totally second that it be donated for which mean Mene staff would get more funding to keep up they great work and it also would mean that it be just as rare to get hand on to keep the rarity of the items..

I agree with that, Gaia brought out the same colour items such as the so called "Ultimate" items Golden halo lost its rarity when Dark Halo and Mythril halo came out as similar to Golden Laural and other items.. I would never want Mene to go that way

According to that though there is a risk of the item "breaking"... that would make a lot of people unhappy... as every time an old rare breaks the price goes up...
