I love the adorable little characters on Menewsha, don't get me wrong! :)

Still, it would really be great if the avatars were a bit more high quality instead of all pixel-y :)

I agree with Angelic Rain. The pixelly look is ok, but I do like the higher quality myself. Part of why I don't come here AS often.. Just saying.. everyone has their tastes. The artists that pixel the items do an excellent job here. They really do. But I kind of prefer a smoother touch.

By smoother I take it you mean, in actual fact, not pixelled? Tool-shading gives a smoother finish, but then that uses 150 shades in one garment, rather than 5 or 6 :) Pixelling takes a lot more skill [yes]

Yes that is what I mean. But, then again I guess if it were done that way it would not be Menewsha anymore it would be not itsself. Menewsha is a pixelled item stylie site, for lack of better description in a hurry. So that's part of its charm, or whatever. But people do have preferences for what pleases our eyes, and we're just saying what pleases us.

Of course I respect the skill involved in pixeling. I still do like the tool-shading look. Some of the pixeled items on here look too rough.. I'm not the happiest with my avatar right now, but I see a lot of the pixeled items on here do look like they are smoother in their finish. Your background for instance. The sky is really smooth as is the kite and as is the scarf and a lot of the rest of what you're wearing.

So, some of the items on here look too pixely which is not my preference, and some items on here look smoothly pixeled, which is my preference. No matter how it's done, I like it to look smooth. Maybe someday I'll be able to get mennies to get some cooler items for my avatar here but right now this is all I've got :<

Edit: I love what I'm wearing, except I wish I had smoother tights and nicer shoes, but I have to earn the shoes. I wish I had some nice black laced up boots. My favorite item you guys made on here is the needle I'm holding. Love it. I just wish the edges weren't so rough.

Wishie's items, backgrounds in particular, are pretty amazing skill-wise. A lot of our older items are pretty awful for visible dithering/overly contrasting palettes, I know ._.

That explains the slight change in the items that has been bothering me all this time. They are so much softer than the older items. It's weird...

I prefer pixeling over tool-shading, but that's just my views. Mene has some of my favourite avatars out of any site, so I'd be really sad if Mene changed them and the items. Though to be honest with the quantity of items there are, I doubt that would happen xD

If anything were to be changed, I wouldn't mind being able to actually tell the differences between gender.
