Developers: suggestions for the fishing game and more
well I have been playing and I have thought of some suggestions to make to the developers or whoever is in charge.
1) why do you give an option to play more than one bait at a time if it is not necesary? 2) There should be a way f selecting play 1 bait with jjust a button, seriously writing the number is annoying... 3) when you decide to sell your catches, I think the pop up anouncement or whatever you call it should give you the ammount of gold you will get by selling them as a reference for you to see if you want to do it or you want to wait, I know you could count the catches but...it would be easier. 4) why are the icons or cards or whatever the name you give to the catches is so big? I think it would be easier if you make them smaller, would be nicer neater..and no need to scroll down to see all you have. Now I take the chance to make some other suggestions I hope you guys read them i know this topic is related to something different but...please devote some little time (if you are not doing it already) on giving us a better items section, it is highly annoying to refresh to see the item you had equipped and also to have such a mess and no division on the clothes. Im not asking you to copy any other site but...some order will be sooo thankful!!! Hehe, retaining to the second suggestion... Invo organizer has already been on the list and will be a future addition to the many upcoming features that is planned. Give us some patience.. we only just got another coder and more admin. xD
I have to agree about the one bait thing, I just never really thought of it. The cards are big because they show the original size of the artwork so it can be appreciated as much as any other artwork that is on the site. ^^ You have a limit of 25 items in there anyways so you'll still need to scroll. (If you want to get to the bottom fast just hit 'end' on the keyboard and 'home' to get to the top fast) |
One thing I would sugest would be move the "sell All" button to the top of the selling page. I don't think there is a reason to save any fishing items at the moment so having that up at the top will save time from scrolling. I acually didn't see it for like a week untill I got my first fish and had to scroll down to look at all my catches to see the fish...

Great to hear about the clothing items <33 I agree with Phe and about the pictures, well of course the artwork is lovely and should be appreciate it (I do ) but maybe just putting one picture and under it a " x3" or " x 5" thing? so it wont ocuppy all the page? just another suggestion n_n; And also I dont know if you mods move this suggestions to the staff room or what but I would like to see some developers or coders posting here or in these kind of threads talking to people maybe..I dont know would sound nice but maybe they dont have the time. Thanks!!! |
Almost everyone of the staff stop by the Site feedback, it's a necessary evil sometimes. xD And it's feedback... if none of us look here it's not going to be done and everyone has their oppinions. Few are brought up as new topics but they are brought up as we discuss things that could manage better. More will stop by but there's little to no devs online at the moment. ^^

there is one thing i would like to suggest.
could the "time you can continue fishing" be changed so its relevent to the users time zone. ive never noticed it till now but ive just completed 100 fishing asttempts andive got the message, but its at 8:00 am (round about) when it was about 11 am. the count down at the end still shows that about 24 hourse are needed to go by before i can fish, its just the time is wrong. other than that its a grate game and hope the designers and every one behind it know so :) |

I'm happy to just have a "seel all" option. It's a great new addition. I always know what I'm earning. I play all 100 times a day and play in rounds of ten. I know for each ten I need 20g to make a profit. I add 20 to the score I already have and then no more than a second of mental math will tell me how much I won or lost. It'd be a nice feature, but considering how simple the math is, it's not really needed. I hope they don't take away the "use more than one bait" option. It helps chances later on and also takes some gold out of the system when users use large ammounts on it. I really like the size of the cards right now. The art for them is lovely. I like not having pixely fishies x3 And a new inventory system is being worked on. I can't say I really feel that any of these suggestions that we haven't already been promised are all that necessary, but I understand why you would like them. |
@juno - the time zone thing can be changed in your profile settings. There's a dropdown menu with "GMT" (Greenwich Mean Time), "GMT-3 hours", and so on. GMT-6 is Central Time in the US. If you set that to match your time zone, the forum posts and fishing game will show the correct time.
I agree that having the "Sell All" button at the top might be handy, but scrolling down doesn't bother me. Ditto the size of the cards. I like the artwork; scrolling down isn't difficult. I have been wondering though-- why to catches have a button to "Let Go"? Does anyone ever actually throw away gold like that? |

Knowing this I agree 100% with Trin, why have the option of playing more baits if it doesn't matter? Removing the option of adding x bait and making the button you press to fish automatically take one bait each time would be a lot better. 3 isn't something urgent but I agree that it could be handy to have, maybe even a history that tracks how much you've spent and gained? I don't agree at all with 4 though, maybe it's because my screen resolution is quite high, but the pictures look fine to me. o: Oh and I agree with the sell all button being moved to the top, I see no reason for it being at the very bottom. xD Maybe even add a button to sell fish as you catch it if possible? Like: Sell Fish | Keep Fish | Let Go Or just remove the keep option and add the sell option instead. Since the only reason you keep the fish is to sell it anyway. xD <3 Ashan; Maybe some people don't bother keeping the 1-3g items? o3o |
It's probably left the way it is for a gold sink. The savvy players who stay in the community and do their research, but those who won't bother to read and explore Menewsha will keep throwing their gold into the hole. :3 And gold sinks are good for the economy.
