huzzah! an idea! (maybe two XD)
I just joined and well it was sorta confusing, tooked me five minutes to figure out stuff.
how about when you join, you recieve an mail from the site and it gives you a welcome. and possibly links to the threads for the newbies? another idea- how about a competation between the players in game. like chess for an example, there could be once a week a mini tornament with limited spots. you play chess until you lose, whoever is the last/top scorer wins a prize :D sorry if these ideas are pretty stupid, just trying to give out my idea ;) |

the PM to new members has been suggested and turned down by the staff before. they said no one would read it.
i like the competition idea. there should be some multi-player games, but i imagine that would take someone familiar with that sort of thing. i don't think anyone on staff right now is familiar with creating real flash games. |
I for one am all for multi-player games in the future, Yan is learning how to make Flash games, amongst the million and one other things that he does, but really for something like that we'd need to buy in I'd say, so ultimately it would be down to how much Lee was willing to invest in something like that.
But I think it would be fun to be able to have touraments and so on across the site though, and I've already suggested interactive games myself. It is true that we don't think many people would read a welcome message full of useful info, but things are planned to make life easier for our new members, as I know that it can be difficult when you can't find your way around. The rules especially are the biggest problem at the moment as many don't know where they are, but everything will change for the better sooner or later! :) |
