It is slightly similar in terms of storyline, but the gameplay is very different, and most people who love one also love the other. If you've played and loved Devil Survivor, you should definitely try out The World Ends With You. I finished both multiple times and loved every minute of them. =)

wow, yeah, it was hard for me to fight the bels the first time
but ive finished naoya's twice, yuzu's, asturos, and amanes
so its getting boring

ive been trying to get gin's and haru's for a while O.o

Keep choosing the Gin and Haru events whenever they're available? You can't let either one of them die, you see. There's nothing much to it. =)
