That's book 1 of 2. (for 2 years, so book 1 = year 1 and book 2 = year 2) Book 1 spends most of your time getting you use to reading latin and the vocab. It teaches you all the models of the words and most of the basic grammar. Book 2 focus more on the translation teaching you more complex grammar to read a sentence.
