my friend had a baby and I went over to visit her and got to hold the baby for the first time. he was the sweetest little thing. the next day he died. I think I might be cursed ...

MY FRIEND HAD A BABY, AND I HELP RAISED IT, BUT HE HAD TO GET A NEW HOME, AND IT WAS FAR AWAY... IN TENN. AND I HAD HER FOR NEARLY THREE YEARS, BASICALLY LIVED WITH THEM... SHE WAS MY BABY.

well, there are times I think back with fondness to the days when I didn't have a kid and didn't have to get up all the time to go read something for the boy or got to sleep in as late as I wanted without being woke up at odd-ball hours to "good morning mom!!!" or parent-teacher conferences, or fighting with the child to put and keep their coat on because it really is cold outside, or having to cook food because they are hungry even if you aren't ... but it's worth it. :)

Kids are a blessing. <3 I love mine and can't imagine life without them but I'm like crazy. I do miss the not having to wake up early in the morning for the most part.
