I'm on what you call spring break right now, though it's called reading week around here. : P Though, I kind of wish it was over already since I miss Barrie (where my college campus and res is) and also because since coming back home my daily routines have gone all wonky. >.>;;

I've been M.I.A. a lot myself. rofl If I try to be on here to do things, then I fall behind on my Accounting. Then if I put too much time in learning Accounting, I'm failing my Business class. o _ o; It just isn't working for me. D| And I missed my Phi Kappa Beta orientation (but the Vice Pres. said it wasn't a big deal). I'm still waiting on my membership golden pin and stuffuu. * w *

The weather was scolding; the birds were flying hysterically through the blue sky. White clouds seem to disperse and disappear without a trace. The humidity made the ground treacherous to walk upon. All of the animals were hiding in shadowy shelters under the trees and between bushes of the forest. Trees wavered threateningly in result of the heat, as if to fall on the inhabitants below. In the heart of the forest was an architectural marvel. Buildings exquisitely cut from white marble with ancient gold plaques of an unknown tribe and their history chiseled down in a forgotten language, the language of the old Gods.

“Kyriotite**, what is your business here?”

An angelic male of short stature wavered at the question, the heat was unbearable. Their golden hair glittered and blinded the other. To look upon him, such brilliance could make one at a loss for words. However, there’s a sense of other worldliness once you look close enough, you can see his eyes were shocking. They were a fluorescent crystal blue with yellow flecks and outlined with orange. A torn white silky cloth wrapped around his mouth, leaving half his face a mystery. Yet beyond there, his skin was penetrated with delicate golden feathers from his cheeks to his ankles. A seductive slender waist was carelessly covered with a tribal white and gold cloth, tattooed with an engraving of a swan.

“Gahiji***, What do you think lies beyond this place?” Kyrio questioned, his voice was calm and soothing. Gahiji was taken back, not by Kyrio’s voice but what his words implied.

“To what you're asking is forbidden, Kyrio, you know that very well. To ask of such a thing, you aren't intending to run away?”

Gahiji, however, understood how Kyriotite felt. As a youngling he was as caged in and trapped as he. To rectify this, Gahiji enlisted into the army of soldiers protecting their species. His eyes flickered with sympathy, a frown stretching his smooth tanned face. Gahiji was the same as Kyrio, with protruding feathers except he was fonder of having his back wings outward to the world, 7ft in length; they were as artistically crafted as a peacocks yet stained with crimson blood. He stood tall at 6ft, black silky hair, charcoal almond eyes, lush lips, smooth shoulders, and perfect biceps; scarred hands that were human but instead of nails there were sharp talons, legs lean and firm for running, a body built and strong. He was handsome and intimidating. Gahiji was one of most sought out bachelors of his kind, however, he was in love with the hunt not being “the hunted.”

Kyrio pawed at the ground with his bare right foot, it was decorated in a spider veined 24kt gold anklet and ended with a sapphire ring on his middle toe. The sun reflected a small solar flare off its surface, making his eyes cringe in turn. His mind was working possibilities of leaving this place. A strange dream came to him one night, telling him of a prophecy that the world was going to be torn to the four corners of the earth with the damned, the heavenly, the gods and mankind going against each other. He had decided not to tell anyone about this dream, the implications it would bring just hearing it would punish him to the “Cage of Virtue.” It was a mournful metal box in which exoheretics**** were locked in 24 hour observation until their minds were clear again.

"I suppose I must leave you to your duties, Gahiji. I have to meet with Hafsah and her husband, the prophet.” Gahiji could tell Kyriotite did not wish to go, here at the outer reaches of the city he was livelier and the anxiety was torturing him.

“Very well, it was nice to a different kind of company. Atsu and his twin have been driving me into murderous intent with their relentless bickering.” Kyrio gave a small laugh, it almost sounded genuine. From chicks to manhood, Gahiji never knew Kyriotite to give any genuine emotion except for freedom. Their friends, neighbors and strangers were varying of this as if his appearance wasn’t threatening enough to their civilization. No one had such eyes; no one had such ravaging allure. Men bit their tongues, women melted into turmoil, girls hearts fluttered and boys dumbfounded that the same sex could be as beautiful as the Nile.

The moment of silence after made Kyrio uneasy, he never did like displaying any sort of noise above a whisper with the exception of speaking. “It’s probably the heat that’s getting to them, Gahiji. If you don’t head caution, Akila will have your gizzards for dinner.” At this, Gahiji seemed to turn a sickening shade of green. With no reply, Kyrio walked upon the pebble stone path, back towards “home.”
