XD And yar, been raining so much, wet and gloomy all over the place. Well, except when you're at home, it gives you thig nice feeling when it's raining outside. :3 |

when we were in helen's car today, coming home from the ferry terminal, we heard on the radio that 33 people got shot at virginia tech today. at first, i heard brooklyn tech and got scared. you know how shootings are almost always in high school or colleges? now that we're in high school, most of our friends are in high school too, so what if a shooting does occur in the schools we have friends in? next point: when we finally established [to me] that it was virginia tech, we discussed what would happen if we were in that situation. i am very much a "deer in the headlight"; in the face of danger, i simply cannot think or move. so our scenario was: if someone took out a gun in a class [we picked spanish `cos we have that class together], then what would happen? i have a feeling if anyone took out a gun, i would either a. gasp & freeze, b. scream and freeze, or and if i'm lucky, c. scream and duck. but i wouldn't think to leave. or move. so helen promised me that if her brain's still functioning at that time [aka she can still think to move], she would drag me out of the room. but if i start screaming, then wouldn't i get shot first? so helen promised that under the same conditions as before [she's thinking], she would throw her bookbag in front of me. so i am relatively safe in spanish class. but what happens if i weren't in spanish class? what if i were in say, art class or gym class or something? those aren't the most organized of classes as it is; what's gonna happen in case of an emergency? >< all i can say is that i'm glad i go to a [relatively] safe school...i hope. And for those who died today, Rest In Peace. what would you do/happen to you? |
