Try button mushrooms, additional tomato paste, maybe oregano leaves, and celery, probably? Minced meat would be good too, that is, if you are using a tomato-based sauce. =)

Hmm... Good suggestion. I remember my sister in the past would mix tomato sauce with the commercially made to make it richer in flavor.

If you can't find the oregano leaf spice, then mixed herbs should work as well. I personally find adding button mushrooms a nice touch. ^_^
