That is ****ing stereo-type. Just because one likes drawing anime/manga-styled stuff doesn't mean that designing in general is veered just in that one *breathe* direction.

Heck, I like designing random accessories for fun, and the knowledge of it being anime or manga-styled NEVER crossed my mind.

I was just about ready to COMBUST.
Previously, my stuff was FINE.
But from then on, EVERYTHING was wrong.
And she wouldn't even fucking let me design a simple pin to hold a blue ribbon for my MOM, who had OVARIAN CANCER.
Fucker.

That class became a complete waste of time.
I produced NOTHING nice for the next two years, except a chinese takeout box my junior year for the auction.
(Which is adorable, but srsly. It took only around 2 weeks to make.)

my style is influenced by anime too.. Most people have the same experience XD;

It's such a pity it happens everywhere. Immediately labeling someone that way just because he or she happens to draw anime/manga-styled art. >_>

Even some of those professional artists who can actually draw all sorts of art really well (all sorts meaning realism, sceneries, the traditional fantasy-styled art and designs) gets the end of the stick just because they draw the occasional manga-styled art.

But that's all in the past for now. Look ahead towards the future. Hey~ ho. >8O

=/ I really HATE art teachers that try to shove you into one particular style. Art's an art. We each got our own way of working with it. Not all of us want to be hardcore realism artists and not all of us aspire to draw anime style well enough to make manga-kas to glare at us. ._.;
