I was still wandering the forums during those couple days and didn't get a chance to look through the shops, so I didn't know that the special event store existed. XD;; But it's really okay, I don't need them until I've made an outfit that would make use of the other vday items. X3 The place we 'usually' go to charges I think $25 an hour? And well, the more people you got, the cheaper it is for yourself. XD But I don't remember the exact cost cuz it's been a while since we've gone. XD;; The subway is pretty interesting to experience, both in the busy times and the not-so-busy times. XD Mm.. I think it was my grandpa's generation/dad's generation that (some of) our family moved to the States. 83 My grandparents were getting older, so they went back to Taiwan, where my dad also is, for his business. So my mom, sister, and I stayed in California because education here is a lot better than Taiwan. >.< Aaand, night markets are fun. XD They'd have usually this one loooong street all filled up with people, vendors, stands, fake goods, motorcycles squeezing in every available space. XD It's usually really bright and loud and noisy and fun. There's lots of street food to eat, random games to play, and of course, lots of different stuff to buy. If you ever go to Taiwan, you have to go to a night market at least once. XDD |

And thanks for liking my current one. 8'D We usually go 3-5 people at a time. XD More recently, we go during 'Happy Hour', around 2-5pm, so we pay for three hours for the cost of one. XD Hmm.. night markets aren't so good with personal space. XD; But it's not that bad, really. 83 These night market areas are also sometimes open during the day time. There's a couple places (not necessary called night markets) I go to with my friends. It's like, blocks of space where stores line the streets, sometimes you'll see some street performers, and of course, more food stands~ XD No, in past years, I probably saw him twice a year, two months at a time during the summers because I'd go back to Taiwan with my mom and sister. He used to come every Christmas too, for maybe 2 to 3 weeks. 83 |

XD Happy hour sounds convenient and I'd totally take advantage of that if I could....but I guess eventually we'd run out of songs to sing. Yeah, sometimes during the 3hour at a time days we go to karaoke, we start to run out of songs to sing. It is pretty popular and since Cali has access to a lot of imported stuff different culture music should be easy to get a hold of. I thought at least. ><; Hope they get more. Sometimes. It depends on the place we go, I guess. One place might have more (popular, as opposed to ones my dad's and older generation might sing XD) Korean and Japanese songs while another might have more Chinese songs. 83 And we sing together all the time, but that's just our group of friends, Jrock music tends to be like that, haha. And my friends like to get a kick out of singing the Barbie song sometimes. XD I've just been a good kid. XD Some stuff I just don't feel comfortable with doing anyway, so I don't. But lately I've been staying out late more, sleeping late more, stuff like that. And I swear in my head sometimes. XDD; Haha, I see. And yeah, I tend to stay up late a lot. Now that vacation is coming soon, I'll be staying up even later. XDD But I mostly stay up because I still have things to do that I should have done earlier, but didn't feel like doing it, and feel the need to do it that night, even if it's not due 'til later. Yeah, some retarded bad kid crap doesn't even sound fun. *i.e doing drugs, stealing, cheating, drinking, etc* Staying out late isn't so bad as long as you eventually come home or tell your parents you're going out. *sometimes I forget* Swearing isn't so bad...just gets annoying if it's excessive. Haha, yeah, it's just an occasional song that we do. Well, I personally just watch the others sing it. XD Sometimes I forget to call my mom, saying that I'll be out late. Other times my phone dies or there's really bad reception wherever I am. And still other times, I ask my friends what time they think such-and-such might be over, but they don't know. We're a pretty laid back bunch in timing, and that doesn't go so well with my mom. XD;; The event's pretty cool so far~ I'm liking the new system of picking up orchids and buds and being able to trade buds in the event shop. X3 Sadly, the flowers don't like popping up for me, so it's a bit slow. XDD; I'm also thinking about entering something for the art contest, but just depends on my motivation. I like to watch my friends sing too but it's fun to see my one friend play piano, he's really good. >w< My phone tends to die as well! Sometimes I'll have just charged it that day and by night time it turns off. ><; Reception usually isn't a problem but it'll tell me I'm roaming when I'll be sitting in my living room. >< Does your phone do the roaming thing? My friends are pretty laid back as well and mom usually doesn't mind since wherever we are she knows most the time...unless we sneak out to go Redneck hunting. Haha, I gave up on Gaia's event on the first try. It might be cool to hand out with friends and stuff, but most of my friends are still in school or busy, so we're usually not online at the same time. For some reason, when I tried the dancing, I'd use the arrow keys but my avi would move in the screen too, and it looked awkward, so I stopped and left. XD;; I don't feel a big interest in the event items anyway, haha.

Yeah, a lot of my friends are on at different times so I either miss them or I'm online and they aren't. ><; And it was kinda weird to see the avi moving on the window when you were pushing the arrows so it was a little distracting. ><; I just wish that the connection could've been smoother but I gave up and bought the rest of the items. *crown* They weren't that great and I had higher hopes. >.>
I agree! Them flowers and buds are very elusive and sometimes I don't see them right away or the stem will be sticking out from behind something so I don't notice till I go back. The good thing is if you do go back you can still click them and they'll be added to your count. Ooo, a clothes one? Sounds cool and I hope you come up with somethin to enter. As for me clothes aren't a specialty. XD Aw...well if one doesn't practice they tend to get rusty but I doubt she forgot completely. I can't text. XD Redneck hunting is a lot of fun. Usually the standard Redneck drives a red or white Ford/Chevy truck and like to sneak up on unsuspecting cars. So at night I go hunt them down with my p.o.s car and sneak up on them. Indeed, kinda like if you take a long break from a game it only takes a half hour or so to get the hang of it again. *can't play piano so have to compare it to game* I apologize in advance for the long story. ><; Ok, the story is my friends and I were going out ghost hunting late at night out in the country. It's pretty far from anything urban and the roads are long and twisty so it's pretty fun to drive down there. When we were coming up on the graveyard we saw a red truck parked on the side of the road so we passed them and got out of sight to wait. I drove back down the same road to see if they were still there and suddenly headlights lit up from behind the car and my friends screamed. XD *two in the back and one in passenger seat* Apparently the guy turned his headlights off and followed my taillights so we couldn't see him. I didn't know what to do so I sped away and then slowed down, the HUGE truck got on my ass and then passed me, parking next to the other truck. Ever since that night during the summer there are red trucks patroling that road...thing is we dun know who they are and I don't think they live around there. We speculated that they were druggies or something but when we went to the graveyard before dusk in my Granpappy's red truck one of the trucks that chased my car down honked there horn...it was the tune "Dixieland" XD I fell over laughing so we call it Redneck hunting now because we go to see if they're still there. I've gotten pretty sneaky on them so their trick is now mine. |

Well it was kind of scary the first night because we didn't know what to do and the truck is considerably bigger than my car...that and if they hit us or made us crash we can't run to safety and would have to call from our cells. But if anything I can drive fairly fast on twisted roads while trucks have a bigger problem. XD

My friends screamed bloody frackin murder and at first I wasn't sure what was wrong. XD It was scary then but funny now and one of them actually caught the dude on tape but their license wasn't readable on the film. Which is alright since all they did was stalk my car and then flash on the high beams.
I got to see some of the entries and they're quite good. I was slightly tempted to do something but decided I had other things I needed to do or get further on. ^ ^; Have you been able to earn a lot of buds and orchids to get the items? I have a ton of orchids and am about 10 buds away from the items I want. I'm trying to save gold as best I can for the cheaper commons. |

I have one of each rare so far and a second of the petals. And just some minutes ago, I sank and bought the wings with gold. I don't think I could collect enough buds before the event is over. XDD; |

Yeah....I'm a little obsessed and have been devoting some hard core time in collecting buds and orchids. ^ ^; I have two of each event rare and have enough buds to buy the wings but I'm also wanting to collect some for the gown as well so that's what I need the 10 buds for. Over the weekend I jumped page to page like crazy so I could keep collecting. Good thing Gaia's event sucked. XD If I have enough buds I can probably get you something nice since the other things I want are buyable via gold. ^ ^ |
