No one ever stays in the threads I used to chat in -- so I don't even that THAT to keep me anymore xD

ReiyukaE 02-27-2009 04:13 AM

I often post in your quest thread, though. ^^

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 04:32 AM

Yeahh - but we post here more xD

Felicity 02-27-2009 04:34 AM

That's 'cause I catch you on here more often. ^^

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 04:40 AM

Lol~
That's true~
But that's because Mene is more fun to be on than Gaia xD
I feel so wretched wanting to give it up though!
I mean, look at how much mum put into it over the years T_T

Felicity 02-27-2009 04:50 AM

It's not like you're selling all of the MC's and the like, though. And if you really feel that bad about it - I'd suggest sending all of it over to a mule of mine, for safe-keeping in case you want it all back.

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 05:02 AM

True..
But I still feel bad 'cause I've always asked mom to put money into it, and it's all been a waste 'cause now I want to get rid of the account T_T

Hmm~
Maybe~
We'll talk about it this summer :3
I'll make my final decision a couple weeks after school's out :3

Felicity 02-27-2009 05:05 AM

Oh my - that's still a ways to go. ^^ Then there's no point in worrying about it just yet.

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 05:23 AM

Hai~! <3
Until then, Imma just not worry about it and focus on school, saving up for Belgium, and saving up for the 700$ book I want xD

Dystopia 02-27-2009 05:32 AM

o3o What kind of book is $700??

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 05:35 AM

"Rosaline Woodbridge" by Hanna Maria Jones
also known as
"The Midnight Visit, a Romantic Tale" by Hannah Maria Jones
It's from 1872 I believe, so it's really old and there's hardly any left and they're all old antiques T_T
I realllllyyyyyy want that book though T_T

Dystopia 02-27-2009 05:39 AM

Oh, I see. What's it about?

Felicity 02-27-2009 05:46 AM

Sounds wicked - sort of like how I want this really old magic book that's almost nowhere to be found. >.<"

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 05:47 AM

Basically a servant who falls in love with a man of Gentry, he in turn falling in love with her~
It was referenced in the anime Victorian Romance Emma~
Act 1 I believe~
It was the episode where Hakim and William met Emma in the Lend Out store -forgets the same of the bookstore-
It was commented that it might be where Victorian Romance Emma was thought of :3
-found out the info on it during the Historical Notes at the end of the episode that it was mentioned in (the person who did the subtitles did historical notes so people had a better understanding of certain things as well as gave fun little facts about certain things mentioned :3)-

EDIT: Ooooo~
What kind of magic book?

Felicity 02-27-2009 05:58 AM

Oooh, I remember that one! :o

"De Occulta Philosphia" by Agrippa von Nettesheim - he was a german astrologer, alchemist and mage who lived around the 15th century. It's a book that has greatly influenced even modern day magic. (though it's considered to be a work of dark magic)

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 06:02 AM

Ooo~
That sounds wicked fun to read!!
I hope you find it <33

Yessss -- I saw it, and immediately sent it to mom saying I want it xD
She's like "There's no way in hell I'm paying it, ask your father if he wants to buy it for you or save up for it~"
Sooooo -- I'm saving up as much as I can -- Hopefully I can talk my parents into paying for -some- of it :gonk:

Felicity 02-27-2009 06:06 AM

I'd suggest having them give you money for your birthday, rather then gifts, but that's no fun either. XD

I hope so too. ^^ Though if it's over 200 bucks I'll probably never buy it.

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 06:14 AM

XD
They're getting me Hot Topic clothes!!

T_T
I hope it's less than 200$ then :3
It'd be a fun read if you got the chance to buy it or borrow it :3

Felicity 02-27-2009 06:18 AM

Yeah, I know - hence why I said that it'd be out of the question.

Hm-hmm, my thoughts exactly. <3 I haven't looked much for it yet, though, since there are already so many things I want to buy. I really don't want to add to that list. XD

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 06:22 AM

Lol~
My bad~
I thought you meant it would just be bad 'cause I wouldn't be able to open presents in general ^.^;;

XD
Ehh -- it's old, it'll pop up from time to time so there's always another chance to get it <3
That's what mom told me when I asked her to get the book I want and she could just take my money for the next 6 months :3

Felicity 02-27-2009 06:27 AM

Ah, nah. That's not why. ^^ I used to often do it. Like, say, I wanted shoes that were a bit more expensive. (instead of 20-30 bucks, 60 bucks or something) I'd tell mum to just not give me a birthday/Christmas gift. I often managed to get more expensive things that way.

I think it's strange they haven't reprinted it, though.

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 06:30 AM

Lol~
If I ever ask for money, they just give me a shopping spree with a "semi-high" limit :3

They may have -- but I want the original xDD

Felicity 02-27-2009 06:31 AM

That never could have happened at our house. >.<" With us the rule was: you want money, work for it.

Ahahahaha - of course. XD

Yuri-san 02-27-2009 06:37 AM

I ish more spoiled than I thought xD
The only work I have to do is laundry when mom asks~

Hehehe~
I can't help it!
The rewrite isn't as good T_T
I want the original cover and stuff~
I want the same for the Jane Austen books, but I highly doubt I'd ever get / afford those xD

Felicity 02-27-2009 06:42 AM

I used to do a lot of things - wash cars (my dad bought and sold used cars), or sell them at a higher price then my dad had in mind; clean up, run errands, work in the garden,... My uncle would also give me 50 cents for small things like that. ^^ I'd only earn about 50 cents or a dollar at a time, but slowly I got to buy things. Like my Nintendo 64 - I bought it entirely out of my own saved up money. I had an allowance of 1$ a week (later on 2$) which I saved up meticulously to buy birthday gifts and christmas gifts, too. ^^ And when my sister got older and had a summer job, I helped her out for a small amount of what she earned - about 50$ or so, while she earned 500$.

Nah, that's highly unlikely. It'd be amazing to have those, though I'd be so afraid of reading them. XD
