xD;;
-we don't do barbecues-
We just do get togethers and have a huge array of foods - fruits, veggies, meats, rolls, salads, etc. - and we all just take a plate and eat - we don't use tables xD;;
Maybe we're just really good at multitasking or whatever?

Just a get together at the pavilion on the beach :3
Nothing major~

Felicity 05-27-2010 04:03 AM

lol-!
Maybe~?
I think a lot of the problem might also be that my group of friends is a tad older, you know? At 17, we did the same as you guys do. Now, I think we just go, "well, why NOT use a table?" XD

It sounds nice, though. :o There's a pavillion? *w* <3

Emma Corrin 05-27-2010 04:16 AM

o_O
I wasn't talking about friends......
I was talking about family gatherings hun.... ^_^;;;;

It's not xD;;
You don't know our beaches~

Felicity 05-27-2010 04:27 AM

Oh, seriously? :o My family probably would never go for that. v_v Sadly. A lot of them are kinda uptight. :/

Hmm, true, I don't. What kind of beach is it, then?

Emma Corrin 05-27-2010 04:43 AM

So are we xD;
But we still do it~
I guess it's just a hick thing? XD;;

It's a river with little sand and a lot of grass xD;;
It's crappy to the extreme - but it's the only place around that's big enough~

ReiyukaE 05-27-2010 04:48 AM

lol-!
Hey, no harm in hick-things! I love such things. Some of my family members, I'm sure, would totally go for it, too. Others would accept it at that time, but then afterwards would gossip and be all hoity-toity about it.

Ooooh, I see. :o
Well, grass is rather nice on its own accord, and if it's the only place that's big enough...

Emma Corrin 05-27-2010 04:56 AM

Lolol
-snugs-

Ummm - I hate the beach - I hate water - and I hate being near the river ^_^;;
But I'm accepting it because eh - it doesn't matter to me, ya know?
It's my mom's affair, so lol

ReiyukaE 06-01-2010 08:18 PM

...isn't it for your graduation, though? o.O' Oh well, I would have let my mom run whatever show she wanted anyway. XD

Is there a specific reason why you're not fond of the beach and such, though?

Emma Corrin 06-01-2010 09:54 PM

Yeah - but I could care less if I have a party. It's just expected so Mom's throwing it xD;;

1. I can't swim.
2. I'm afraid of drowning.
3. The beaches here have literally NO sand.
4. There's bird poop ALL OVER the ground.
5. People bring their dogs to the river and let them come in UPSTREAM from where you swim.
6. Fish, seaweed, and algae are in the water.
7. Kids pee and poop in the water.
8. Dogs do their business in the water too.

I think that's about it?
Maybe there are other reasons - they're just not coming to me off the bat xD;;;
You get the idea though :yes:

ReiyukaE 06-01-2010 10:10 PM

...yes! Plenty of reasons.
The first one is, to me, very much the most pressing one. >.<

I didn't know it was something that's expected, though. :o

Emma Corrin 06-01-2010 10:45 PM

Lolol
Haiii :yes:

o_O;;
Yeah it is xD;
Everyone has a graduation party of some sort~

ReiyukaE 06-01-2010 10:48 PM

It's totally a random thing there - most people don't do anything for it, unless it's organized by the school - that it's surprising to me that it's common. XD <3

Is there a particular reason why you can't swim, by the way? I mean, here, we learn how to swim in kindergarten. So it's rare for me to come across someone my age - or younger then me - who can't swim.

Emma Corrin 06-01-2010 10:56 PM

Lolol
Maybe it's just a thing that's done here?
I honestly can't say if it's common else-where lol

We aren't taught in school - we learn on our own. And I learned, I'm just really really bad ^_^;;

ReiyukaE 06-01-2010 11:01 PM

Haha, yeah, I wouldn't know. It's possible that it's fairly common in other families or cities - but not around where I live-!

Ooohs, I see. :o
Yeah well, it's always best to not venture out into too deep water if you're not confident of your swimming skills. With me, my butt always sinks. I can swim, and I love to swim, but when I go out in the ocean I'm alway unprepared for the waves, so I always end up swallowing a ton of water by accident.

Emma Corrin 06-02-2010 12:06 AM

Hehehe - that's because you live on a whole nother continent ;)

LOLOL
I've never been in the ocean :P
And I don't know in the water period - perhaps up to my ankles if no one's there, but not often ^_^;;
I'm legit afraid of the water :yes:

ReiyukaE 06-02-2010 12:09 AM

Among other things! ^,^ <3
Belgium might just be all weird like that. x'D

Aww, that's such a shame! T-T There is a great amount of pleasure to get from it. So you don't even go swimming in a pool wherein you can still stand?

Emma Corrin 06-02-2010 12:19 AM

Hahaha - or NY is!

Not really xD;;
Then again, I don't even own a pool, so ^_^;;
And I refuse to go swimming in a public pool because of some of the aforementioned reasons~
(You can imagine which ones fit the description)

ReiyukaE 06-02-2010 12:31 AM

Both are probable!

(Yes, I very much can - though it hasn't stopped me yet.)
Would you do it if you had your own pool, though? :o

Emma Corrin 06-03-2010 04:51 PM

Depends :yes:
I most likely would sit in it - but I wouldn't go above my ribs ^_^;;

ReiyukaE 06-03-2010 08:19 PM

Hmmm... well, I mean... it's often already pretty fun when the water just reaches up to your neck. So that you can just walk around in it and such.

Personally I'm not much of a fan of going too far in the sea, myself. It just creeps me out that you have no idea what might be swimming underneath you. I think that, the deepest I've gone, was about 7 meter/23 feet. As in, I've swam so far into the ocean that it was about 23 feet deep underneath me - I'm not the kind to go diving. *shudders* No thank you. I love the ocean, but it totally terrifies me at the same time.

Emma Corrin 06-03-2010 08:26 PM

I don't like it near my neck and face ^_^;;

Lolol
I think the most I've ever had beneath me is 12 feet, if that xD;;;

ReiyukaE 06-03-2010 08:28 PM

To the ribs, it is! *makes note of this new info*

That's plenty! *flails* Even 6 feet is enough to drown in.

Emma Corrin 06-03-2010 08:35 PM

6 inches is enough to drown in :P

ReiyukaE 06-03-2010 08:43 PM

lol-!
Yes, also true! XD

Emma Corrin 06-03-2010 10:15 PM

Hehe - see?
Lots of reasons to hate water :P
