Yeah, I speak french, but everything else is in english.
|
Lawlawl, no type? :'x
I went to a French elementary school :'x |

Well, everything I do these days is in english. (play video games, watch anime, post in various forums, etc...) The only time I actually do something in french is when I speak to someone in real life. I need to get out more.
Dimitri: Everything I do is considered childish by everyone I know. Therefore, I carry the mantle of "childish" with pride! :sarcasm: |
@Heresy: Wow, that's gotta suck. My father used to give me a hard time because I enjoy watching anime. After he watched some of the anime that I watch, he watches some anime on his own now. And he acts like some kid who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar when I walk in and see when he's watching those anime. :XD
|
I never really got into anime, despise that I'm half asian. AND, I look asian. I always get random conversations about anime x..x
I just... don't get the shows :'x |
Ah, my father used to read some of my mangas when I was a kid. Ranma 1/2, if I remember correctly. So, I guess not everyone thinks I'm childish.
He plays video games once in a while, but only a golf game. Not golf gameS, just one golf game. I wonder how he pulls this off. :?: |
@Von: Eh, it depends on the genera of the anime for me. I actually prefer the slap-stick comedies and the action-types.
@Heresy: I play video games, too. I prefer the racing games, RPGs, and first-action shooters, myself. Golf, huh? Does he play golf IRL, or just that video game? |
My parents came to visit me a few weeks ago.
They were beating the crap out of me on wii. :/ Dimitri: gimme some names? 8"D The only manga that I've finished and liked are.... Samurai Deeper Kyo and Prince of Tennis. I absolutely love tennis x"DD |
Dimitri: He also plays golf in real life. He doesn't have too much time because of his work schedule, so it's been a while since the last time.
Von: Not everyone likes anime, there's nothing wrong with that. I personally prefer anime with a lot of action, or those with a strong and interesting plot. Sadly, those two rarely shows up in the same show. Code Geass would be an exception, though. |
Alex: I've over whelmingly heard about Code Geass x..x
I watched one episode in the commons hall. All I can make out was an insane man with a egg mask is trying to take over the world. :'x |
@ Alexandre: I'm french, so I already know that, I was just making sure X3 I think I've only known one other guy with that name, but that was from when I was like... 6?
@ Brilliance: I like a few 'childish' things, most of them could just be considered girly... but too young at heart is something that bothers me because it seems men never grow up, which with my boyfriend, is not a good thing at all. @ Strawberry: Thank you, but I'm just here for the artwork, no avi is needed X3 |

x..x I'm extremely sorry, I missed your edit on this post x..x Herm, I could give it a try, how's that? http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/1953/o47.png -octo x"DD edit Kitten: As long as your 'girly' things are not barbies, I won't judge you x"D Hhhhey, men do grow up :/ Only when we need to. |
@Von: Hmm, for comedy anime, I like all the Tenchi series, Vandread, and Sorcerer Hunters to name a few.
For action anime, I like Hellsing, Initial D, Jing: King of Bandits, Outlaw Star (even though the last two could fit into the comedy genera, too) and Noir. I can't really think of any of the others offhand. @Heresy: I never really understood the appeal of golf, honestly. |
Dimitri: None I've heard of :'x DONT HURT ME.
But... I did watch Jay Chou's Initial D. Which, I know don't count =..=. |
Barbies are okay, my last one was thrown out about 2 years ago, but I haven't played with them since I was 11 X3 I'm more into buying myself stuff to dress up in than dressing up a doll... unless it's a doll of me, then that's neat too *vain* XD
I guess some men are grown up, but people like my boyfriend and all his friends *shivers* He's just to immature D; Ooo anime talk? I think the most recent thing I've seen is Moon Phase. I don't watch anime much though, I did go to a convention as a cat school girl once though. |
Quote:
Dimitri: I don't see it either. Kitten: Oh, sorry. I was just trying to explain why. :headdesk: |
No no, that's fine. I completely understand why you would explain. I think I've met a total of 4 out of at least 5000 people online that speak french or are french, so I don't think anyone else would really get the spelling X3
|
@Von:  You've never heard of Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, Tenchi Muyo: GXP, or Tenchi Muyo: Rio Oki(sp?)? Wow, you're missing out. You should check them out. Actually, you should check out all of them.
Is Jay Chou's Initial D the live action one? It's alright, but it doesn't really do the anime justice. Well, in my opinion, anyway. @Heresy: Ok, so I'm not the only one that doesn't understand it. That's good. @Kitten: Oh, I'd like to go to a convention. I just never seem to have the time to do so. :XP |
Kitten: Have a talk with your bf? That's all I could say.
Alex: LOL, but that's only one episode of the show :'/. I'd have to say... I'll probably wont give it a try again... CLAMP art is amazing, but somewhat the anime just takes styles away. But in truth, I'd rather read light novels or manga to watch anime. Some times anime just kills me x..x through the actual art, to voice actors. (am I even making sense now?) Dimitri: Dont give me that look ;>> and sadly, no. I've really never heard of any Tenchi series. BUT, for your sake, I'll check it out 8"D. Now 8"D. Yes yes, it is the live action one. I have to say, he did pretty bad in that movie. Ruined some of the anime fan's hope. But you gotta check out his other movie. It's self scripted, directed, and acted. That guy's got talent. |
Boyfriend is a total nerd, we went to an anime convention for our first date XD We had only been dating for like... 1 week maybe? I usually always wear a set of cat ears and a tail IRL (don't anymore, but did in middle/high school) so I just decided to go with something easy as a cosplay and used things I already had. Came to figure out that he liked my cosplay a bit to much and the date was just too akward from there on. :o
@ Brilliance: Nah, he doesn't listen, but it's okay, I put up with it =3 |
@Von: If you like slap-stick comedy, then I think that you'll like the Tenchi series. And probably the other two that I listed, too.
@Kitten: What's wrong with liking cat-girls? :? |
Von: I can understand the voice acting, but you prefer manga over anime because of the... art? :?: Well, that's weird. :sarcasm: Most of the time I prefer anime over manga, because it feels more "alive" than manga. (I think I'm not making sense either.) But sometimes the anime doesn't live up to the manga, so I lose interest.
|
Nothing wrong with it, just how much he liked the cat outfit was weird X3 He doesn't like cat girls, just me in cat ears/tail. Other than being immature, he is pretty sweet seeing as he isn't like a lot of guys I've met.
@ Alex: I understand where you're comming from. I prefer movies over the book for that reason. I know you get to use your 'imagination' with books and junk like that, but I'd rather have someone do that for me XD |
Kitten: You are too nice :'x
Dimitri: I just read the first chapter of one of the tenchi series x"DDDD. Not the best art I've seen, but SURELY the funniest. LAWLAWLAWL. *cant stop cracking up* Alex: Yesss, some anime, just can't bring out the style of the manga. For instance, Samurai Deeper kyo's anime killed my hopes. Not only it doesn't follow the plot line, the art is way off :/ Oh, definitely, hearing human interactions will surely be different than the dead mangas :'x. Makes sense to me x"D |
