Just For Fun - Draw My OC?
Hey, it's me again, Mizayo. I have a new OC (another one, Miz?), and I've been almost obsessed with her. I have almost 50 pages of every single tiny detail I can think of about her. I have a whole bunch of pictures of her, and I'm only starting to get into it. So, just for a time-waster, I thought it'd be cool to see some pictures of her from other people. And what better way to see that happen then on Menewsha? I'm never really seen a request thread in here, so yeah. I went ahead and let some mod or somebody know, though. :U Anytime you have a request for something, post it in the Art Requests forum instead of Art Freebies or the other different forums that I think are for shops? Also, be patient, and try not to double-post. You have to put your request thread OUT there, usually. You have to GO to the artist to get it... unless it was in the Art Requests forum, somebody should get to talking on it soon. So don't be afraid to go to shops and link them to this page so they can see what (Miz?) your OC looks like. c: I wish you good luck~. |

Oh man, I got tons of stuff on her. Um... Well, first of all, she's an alien. Yeah, that kind of ruined the mysterious OC girl. Yeah. She's a spawn of geekliness. and to top that off, she's not only and alien. She's an alien on Star Trek. I know... but what are you gonna do? :lol:
There are a lot of details about her species that help define who she is. Her species, called the Laen, are extremely fragile. I mean, big time. If you poke them hard enough, they can break a bone. Due to this, they are naturally afraid of physical contact and rarely touch. But, being intelligent beings, they can't just sit around in a bubble all day, worried about being touched. They have magical abilities that allow them to strengthen their bones somewhat. They can make heavy things lighter too, really anything to help them go about their daily lives. So... to tie this part up, Kazai Koux's (the OC) personality reflects these things in a sort of graceful, lightweight manner to how she walks and talks. She also has to go to the infirmary a lot. Not being able to do rough sports or physical competitions, a lot of Laens turn to the arts to express themselves. Laens, when remembered, are known for their beautiful artwork and legendary musicians. Again, this greatly influenced Kazai. She, actually, begins her journey into my story as a sort of travelling bard, I guess you could call it. She travels the stars, singing, dancing, and telling great stories! Another characteristic that helps with her personality is how the Laen deal with other species. Again, they are a very cautious race, and that leads to becoming almost completely isolated. They almost never communicate with others, and in turn, people seem to pretty much forget about them. Kazai and her siblings never really believed in that way of life, much to their parents' disbelief. They all sort of... dispersed. They went their separate ways, the two sisters, Kazai and Rezana, went off in opposite directions, each prominent in singing. The twin brothers, Ronez and Dozan, went to luxury planets like any young man would do. Again, to sum it all up, Kazai is, basically against the whole "being isolated" thing. She likes to be OUT there, with the people and never-ending possibilities. Now for her general overall personality, she's got her goods and bads like any other regular person. She's usually quite happy and uplifting, sort of like and excited puppy. She's almost always smiling, but is always trying to pry into someone's problems. She thinks she's helping, but really people just get annoyed and call her nosy. She'll usually take the blame for something she didn't do, however bad, but if it affects her in a strong way, she'll never forget it. Yeah, that's right. This young, super-happy girl hold grudges. Bad ones. She plans things out too, but not outright. Subconsciously, she plans out what should happen. And when someone makes that plan go haywire, she draws back and switches gears, hiding away in her room until things go back to normal, or she makes a new plan without knowing it. She gets jealous too, but not horribly so. But again, this kind of stuff almost never happens, and she's usually the preppy waitress or the station's best performer, singing her heart out at a holoconcert. |
I am down for trying to draw her. No promises on when i can give the art to you because I am a little swamped with work right now. But I shall Keep you posted.

Two question came up while I was drawing.
1. what is her hair like/legnth? It kinda looks like a pony tail in some pics while in others is looks like her hair is braided. 2.Dose she wear Jewelery? Some pics show her with bracelets and other show her not wearing any at all. |

The ones with the braid were an earlier version of her, and afterward I changed it to a ponytail. As for the length, I'm not quite sure. Just past her shoulders and not as long as to reach her butt, :lol:. And the bracelets... well, sometimes I picture her with the bracelets, other times not, so... that's your decision. Really the only jewelry that is always with her is the necklace, so I wouldn't worry about the bracelets if you don't want to. Here's a sum up: 1. Ponytail. Longer than shoulder; shorter than butt. 2. Either way on the bracelets. Always on the necklace. |

I finally finished sketching you character out. I did modify how the fabric hangs and and where it attaches to the belt she wears. look It over and tell me if you like it or not. I tried to keep it a real as possible. if you like it then I will start to color the pic. Rough Character Sketch |

I'm not really all that picky about the clothing, so don't worry if its a little different. Half the time I don't even do it right. The realisticness is amazing too. Just... Awesome! :) |
I have been drawing manga for a long time and Manga is quite close to a realistic body proportions. yours is the first drawing that i have dose in the realistic style. I used this tutorial to make the jump from manga to real: MANGA to REALISTIC: PART ONE by =BittersweetDisease on deviantART iT still not 100% to my liking but its a step in the right direction. I am glade you like the sketch. I just hope my coloring is just as good. :3

She's beautiful ^^ I would like to try and if it is alright, may I do my own spin on the clothing style? I will keep some of the main elements but I have a wonderful idea for an outfit that I would really like to draw.
