Dalia saw them coming before they themselves knew about their existance...

She hunched over her scrying bowl to see their arrival, excited to see the fae who would be coming. It looked as if there were three Whisperers and a Llithe...All winged and colorful eggs now, they would soon be faeries, each unique in their own way.

Dalia was delighted by the idea, and she knew she had to find Dawnsong and Destine before the eggs arrived. She had to explain to them what they needed to do.

Though Dawnsong had cared for eggs before -- including Dalia's -- Destine was new to the process of egg-hatching. Perhaps the pair could work together this time, to keep the eggs healthy until they were ready to hatch.

Dalia figured Destine would work best with the Whisperer eggs, and Dawnsong would work well with the Llithe eggs, but they could share responsibilities if necessary. After all, there were an uneven number of Llithe and Whisperers in the batch...

Summoning her blue and grey moth messenger, she whispered her message into it's auditory sensor, and watched as it fluttered off to the homes of both Destine and Dawnsong. It had a very important message to relay for the Oracle.

It was short and sweet. She hoped they'd come. A new generation was about to be born into the Gardens.

Caer was sitting with her feet in the Mirror Lake Garden when she suddenly looked up into the air. 'Something is different.. something is going to happen,' she thought. Curious, she got up and stood in the soft cool breeze, looking over the lake.

'I wonder if it is a new Garden growing..? Or are the spirits restless again? Or could it be.. no..!' Caer's eyes widened excitedly and took to the air in a burst of swan feathers towards the Temple, where the child oracle will confirm her feelings.

Dalia didn't have to see Caer in her scrying bowl to know that the Swanfeather was coming to see her. Soon, they would be sharing their excitement about the arrival of the new eggs, and perhaps Caer would accompany her to the First Garden to meet with Dawnsong and Destine.

Dalia had not yet met Caer, but she knew about the swan-fae, and was eager to become acquainted with her. In fact, she was ready to meet any and all fae who braved the trip to her doorstep.

With a flutter of her wings, she stood and walked toward the inlaid door of her home and temple, and opened it to the outside. Though she lived at the top of the tree, there were still branches above and below her, holding the Temple in place. It was a shady getaway, and she loved it there.

Walking out onto the deck that surrounded the Temple, she took a seat on one of the railings and waited for Caer's arrival.

Caer slowly made her way through the dense forest, ignoring the murmurs of spirits which had sought refuge in the gloom. She is a little tense in the dark as she has grown too familiar with the brightness of the Mirror Lake. As she slowly fluttered through the maze of branches, she wondered how she was to address the Oracle.

At last she saw a breach of light streaming from the trees, and gliding higher, a beautiful building silhouetted in light. 'That must be the Temple,' Caer thought, shielding her face from the glare. The tallest tree on which the Temple was built overlooked the entire garden and Caer was mesmerized by the beautiful view. Suddenly, she heard a gentle cough behind her and she turned round to face the Oracle.

Dawnsong was on her way back home from the First Garden, having completed her daily rounds. Though new eggs only appeared every month or so, she couldn't bear the thought of overlooking any of them. So she made it her task to diligantly search the premisis every twenty-four hours or so.

Besides, she enjoyed greeting new fae as the entered the world.

The weather couldn't have been better for travel: it was warm, there was plenty of sunlight, and there was a gentle breeze. What more could a Llithe ask for? As she finished her flight and entered her, Dawnsong was intercepted by the grey-blue moth. Dawnsong instantly got excited and smiled cutely at the message it relayed to her.

"Okay. I shant be late!"

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

In fact, the next day she would make sure that she arrived a few minutes early. She had been looking forward to the meeting all morning; she enjoyed seeing Dalia. Being the Oracle, it was only fitting that she take residence at the temple in the center garden. Getting there through the thicket was no easy task, but it was always well worth it.

Oddly enough, Dalia would be meeting the Lilthe of Bellsong in the first garden. Which could only lead her to wonder what was up.

((Remember Magnus, they'll be meeting at the First Garden, not at Dalia's...:D
Also, I'm going to RP a few more posts with Luc, but feel free to join in once we arrive at the First Garden. Lovely post btw. :D))

Dalia saw the surprise in Caer's eyes, and couldn't help but grin at the adult faerie. Her young age showed through almost immediately. She had yet to become an adult, and still had several qualities of a teenager. Being giggly at times was one of these unfortunate traits. She couldn't help herself though...some things just asked for a giggle.

"Hello!" she exclaimed, grabbing Caer by the shoulders unexpectedly and giving her a quick, but firm, hug. "I'm Dalia." She paused. "Don't worry about being uptight around me. You don't need to call me Oracle either. That's kind of strange, don't you think?" She cocked her head to one side and chuckled again, giving Caer a once over. "You're very pretty," she commented, brushing a hand along the fae's feather-wrapped arm. "What is your power Caer?" she asked, silver, pupiless eyes twinkling in the afternoon sunlight. "I know every fae has one..."

Caer blinked. This was abit unexpected. Oracles are supposed to be kindly beings who bake cookies and talk seriously about the future. Well, but youths don't go for that sort of thing..

"I.. uh.. hello." said Caer, smiling at this pleasant surprise. "I'm.. Caer, of Swanfeather. I suppose you may say I am the historian of the Gardens.. and keeper of a few secrets." Caer felt as if Dalia knew all about it already. "Dalia, I think something is happening.." she said.

"You're the historian?" she asked cheerfully. "We'll have to sit down and talk sometime. I have questions about...our history. And the Prophecy." Her voice quieted then, as if it was wrong to speak of such things. She knew her birth was the beginning of something very important in the Thousand Gardens, but she'd yet to look into the future to see how she'd fulfill the Prophecy -- or how anyone would fulfill it, for that matter. She was almost afraid to look. Being born into something so integral was a scary thought for the young fae.

"You feel it too, do you?" She took Caer's hand and squeezed it, a goofy smile on her face. "I'm glad. You can come with me. We're about to go meet the newest members of the Gardens! Dawnsong and Destine are waiting for me. We should go. I hate being late."

With that said, she fluttered up into the sky, on tattered wings that were much stronger than they looked. She pulled Caer with her, expecting the adult fae to rise into the air with her. "C'mon Caer, let's go!"

The sweeping branches of her willow tree tickled Destine's wings and made them twitch a little, like an animal's skin reacts to a slight graze. She didn't mind; they also caressed her cheek and made her feel at home. She sat cross legged at the base of the willow, fingering various trinkets she had found in her wanderings along the River of Promises. They lie spread out on a dark velveteen cloth. What confounded her was that she was never able to read them -- she had tried long ago. Now, she just like to admire them and roll them around in her hands.

The branches that drapped around her suddenly shivered, as if anticipating the brisk wind that followed. Shaken, Destine quickly folded up her cloth and stufffed it into a knot at the bottom of the tree. She spun around and stood straight up, guilty, as if she had just been caught stealing cookies from the jar.

Expecting to see another fae, she instead saw a regal blue grey moth hovering. It came closer and she shyed away; it landed softly on her hand. Instantly she saw the smiling face of the Oracle. She felt warm. Welcomed.

"The Oracle," softly escaped her lips. "Tomorrow...half past three...the First Garden." Destine's eyes were closed as she mouthed the words. She could hear the excitement in the Oracle's voice, see the color in her face. Something was indeed going to happen.

Destine opened her eyes and smiled hopefully; the moth floated back toward the garden. She gathered her things. She knew she couldn't be late.

Caer followed Dalia through a route past the forest, when hence, the route was difficult, now the path is cleared, as if the very trees are making way for their special resident.
'Now this is strange,' thought Caer. 'The historian and the visionary travelling together. Now that wasn't something that happens everyday..'

Through their journey, Caer glimpsed many apparitions in the gloom of the forest and the shadows. "Shoo," she said, "Not now. We're busy." The spirits slunk away, disheartened and for a moment Caer felt sorry for them. As new faeries arrive, there are scores of spirits vainly trying to come through again. It is a sad thing but, as Caer always sees it, is part of the life in the Gardens and the spirits have always been a separate sentience. Perhaps the new faeries will stimulate the stronger spirits to persevere more.

Dalia ignored the Spirits as they came upon the pair. She was more determined to arrive at the First Garden on time than she was worrying about Spirits bothering them.

Soon enough she'd have to go speak to the Spirits in their own realm. She wanted to tell them of her return. She also knew that she might have prophecies for some...those who could become fae.

They approached the First Garden within fifteen minutes of departing the Temple, and Dalia slowed down dramatically within the last twenty yards or so, eager to take a breather. At least they were there before the others...

'Caer, are you okay?" she asked, turning to look at the historian, a giddy smile on her face. "We're close now. Look up ahead! We'll land here soon."

In the bright sunlight, Caer surveyed the lands below her. The First Garden is soft with blooms and shrubs to protect and shield the eggs, which are nestled between the flowers. They quivered now and then and glittered in the sun.

Caer carefully landed on the soft grass and tended to her wings as she looked around. 'What a lovely day for a welcome,' she said. 'And such beautiful weather too. I wonder how many are Llithes and Whisperers!'

((Okay everyone, feel free to post the arrival of your eggs, or at least how the NPCs will find them in the garden! I want to get these babies hatched!))

"That's an excellent question...Looks like we'll soon find out," Dalia said, landing softly on the grass. "I hope Dawnsong and Destine get here soon. They need to be here when these eggs hatch."

Dalia knew the eggs would be hatching soon, and she hoped the others would arrive on time to greet the new fae. She had told them half past three, hadn't she? She pushed her mild annoyance aside, and continued to wander around the garden, enjoying the feeling of soft grass underfoot.

In the middle of the night it happened, slowly and fast at the same time. Slowly if you observed the scene, mysterious act in the darkness... Which, if you noticed the time, lasted only for few minutes.
The wind almost disappeared that day in the First Garden, and all animal voices ceased. And then, -it- happened.
Suddenly, something felt on the ground, quickly disappearing in the tall grass. Only a moment later, another one. And then third. And out of nowhere, tens and hundreds of...things? started falling from the sky, making a small hill. It was incredible, because, in fact, what was raining right now were priceless gems. It took a minute or two for the small hill to reach a llithe's knee. and then, a bigger one appeared...only it wasn't a gem. It was a sapphire-color egg, with a pair of big, swan-like wings, in similar sapphire color, but with green feather tips. It fluttered quickly, as if a bit desoriented, and landed on the pile of gems. It fluttered once again, and then the wings rested slowly on the shell. The new egg waited to be found.

Dawn had not yet come and in the main garden not even the stirrings of birds could be heard. A faint wind had picked up during the night and was gently swaying the dew laden grasses to and fro. It was in this garden the new eggs generally made their appearance and everywhere was covered in soft flora.

Poip!

A soft sound like that of a bubble popping was heard followed shortly by the appearance of a small winged egg. In the grayed light the egg was a gem among pebbles. Fiery reds and bright gold encircled the shell in an alluring fashion.

The egg dropped a short distance to fall in the soft moss surrounding a tree in the main garden. Balancing precariously on its edge the small speckle-tipped wings began flapping frantically as it fought to keep itself on its base. It gained its balance back just as the sun began to peek over the horizon.

The sun rose slowly casting long rays of light across the entire garden. When one such ray landed on the egg it began to beat its wings slowly and rhythmically creating a soft humming noise where the feathers rubbed against the shell. Any passing would note the faint glowing and air of contentedness surrounding the egg.

As she strolled around enjoying the fresh, perfumed air of the garden, Caer noticed a bright sparkle in the corner of her eye. As she followed it, she saw that there was something glittering brilliantly beneath some shrubs.

As Caer approached, she saw a beautiful Whisperer egg nestled in a pile of small jewels. Gently, she reached and caressed the egg.

A soft humming sound caught Caer's attention and she saw another glitter beneath a tree. "Dalia.." she breathed excitedly. "I think I found them!"

The egg fluttered its wings slowly, when the llithe's hand touched it. As if it was surprised...well, it definetely was... It was the first time it felt someone else's touch.
Its wings suddenly froze, and then fluttered again, feeling her excitement. It was probably the equivalent of saying 'who? me?' in an only way the egg could express it.

It happened at night, when the creatures of the day slept and the creatures of the night roamed, a small yet beautiful egg appeared nestled in the soft moss and undergrowth by a large oak tree. It appeared under a large, jutting piece of tree fungus. This would help shade her from the sun should she not be found before morning.

Oerttena could feel the coolness of the earth and dew beneath her. This was an exciting time for her... she was finally here. Though, she did not know that she was entering a world where she was considered an outsider. She had no memories of her past lives, or why she was banished from the land of the Whisperers, but she would make the the most of her life here in The Gardens.

Observers of the night will have seen the small egg beneath the tree, beating it's wings to the rhythm of the night breezes, waiting to be found.

Destine left promptly after getting the Oracle's message. Though she knew she had plenty of time, she had made this journey before and she knew she would make many stops in the cool shade of the trees before reaching her destination -- never being fully aclimated to life in the direct rays of the sun.

Meeting at the First Garden, she knew she would see Dawnsong; her heart fluttered a bit at the thought. She remembered trying to stifle her laughter from underneath her hiding place in a thicket of rose bushes, hearing Dawnsong walk to and fro calling out her name. "Oh well, I guess I'll never find her," Dawnsong would say as she began to walk off.

Panic would seize her, and Destine would always fall for the ruse. "No! Wait! I'm here," she cried frantically, crawling from the bushes. Dawnsong would be waiting, and scoop her up, wings and all -- both would collapse in a fit of laughter.

Destine smiled at the memories as she came upon the First Garden, making her final stop beneath an ancient oak tree. She surveyed the grounds, but could see neither Dawnsong nor the Oracle. She felt what she could not see. She curled her toes deep into the moss that surrounded the tree, and could feel it almost pulsing, like a heartbeat. She looked down. Tickling her left ankle was a small wing protruding from the moss. She knelt down and cleared the vegetation. Attached to the wing, was an egg.

The egg fluttered frantically to catch the attention of whatever it was that lurked near by. It sensed that what was near was a friend and would not harm it and wanted to be held. Flapping the wings harder it looked as if it were trying to launch itself in the direction of Destine.

Feathery clouds dotted the mid-day sky and they drifted lightly by, occasionally passing in front of the vibrant sun and dotting the landscape with patches of light and shade.

The grass emitted a pleasant warmth to the touch, and the landscape was decorated with fleeting flashes of violet, azure, and yellow tiny wings, as butterflies capriciously dodged in unpredictable patterns. It was fitting that such a picturesque, almost storybook spring afternoon would be the setting for the events to occur.

Amongst the hum of drifting insects searching for pollen, occasional cicada-like chirps, and fleeting bird songs, there was a gentle wind concentrated on just one single space, perhaps only 10 cm in diameter. The wind momentarily transformed into a sort of gust, the kind only seen on a dusky autumn day when dead leaves are thrust to and fro. But this gust of wind, this draft, curiously formed a sort of miniature micro burst in the center of the garden, slightly plastering the grass below it into a circular pattern, a sort of nest to receive whatever the wind dictated.

The phenomenon created a little pocket of blurred space, the way an image is blurred when looking through a piece of thick, antique glass. The space appeared to pulsate, making waves of distorted blurriness for perhaps only 15 seconds, when suddenly through the blur a tiny yellow glowing bud could be identified. The bud expanded into a tiny precious egg, newly formed and glowing with youth, it drifted downward at an unnaturally slow pace, as though some motherly force were gently setting it down.

Seemingly from nowhere a pair of noble yet clumsy wings spread open for the first time, emerging from the back of the egg. They flapped lazily a few times then returned to their original position to rest, and the new glowing egg lay still in its nest of fresh grass.

The intermittent clouds had reduced in number and the blue sky now dominated the sky, the sun's blinding rays filling the garden. The egg seemed to emit a sense of contentment basking in the sun for the first time, waiting patiently to be discovered, not in any hurry to be taken from its peaceful haven.

Oerttena could sense someone near her, someone who could 'sense' her as well. She didn't know what to make of the sensation, but she felt kindness in this person. So as Destine brushed away the vegetation, Oerttena pulsed her wings in rhythm and gave a faint glow.
She was happy to be found and allowed the stranger to remove her from the comfort of the moss and fungi. She was happy this person had found her and emitted a calm sense of anticipation. She wanted to meet this gentile person who had found her.

((Alright, I can't exactly remember who was supposed to take on who, but for now, let's do it this way:
Destine~ Oerttena and Kyrylo (since they're both in the moss, it makes good sense for you to find both of them--you can go back and edit your post to include Oerttena's egg too if you want.)

Dawnsong~ Ora and Laz

I'm going to go ahead and post for Magnus, who is sick. I'll also post bits for Dalia here and there, but really, it's Dawnsong and Destine's turn to shine))

Dawnsong had arrived in the First Garden a mere forty-five seconds after Destine, and was a little out-of-breath from the long flight from her home. But she was excited to see the eggs, and she had a giddy feeling inside. She could already tell they were ready to hatch!

As she landed in the Garden, she saw Destine and couldn't help but greet her first. "Destine! Hello friend!" she exclaimed cheerfully, flitting over to her friend to see that the girl was already holding an egg. "Looks like you're busy already! So good to see you." She gave Destine a bear hug and saw a glint of gold out of the corner of her eye. "I think I see something else!" she exclaimed, turning quickly to see a shining golden egg perched atop a tuft of fresh grass. It was gleaming in the bright afternoon light, almost as bright as the sun. She flew over and picked the egg up, petting it softly with her fingers.

"You're going to be happy here little one! I can't wait until you hatch, and then I can show you around!"

It was then that she saw the two other fae in the garden. She recognized Caer, but the other fae was unfamiliar. Perhaps she was the Oracle. She was quite beautiful, with long, wavy hair in shades of purple and silver, and she was bedecked in ribbons that wound around her wings and were entwined in her hair.

"Destine, is that who I think it is?" she asked her friend, careful not to point and stare at the young adult fae who was chatting with Caer, who also seemed to have found an egg.

Meanwhile, Dalia had quickly flown over to Caer as she found the sapphire blue egg laying atop a pile of rare gems. "Wow Caer, what do you think it is!? Do you think it's a Llithe? What kind of power could it have? I've never seen an egg appear on top of a pile of gems like this..."

She noticed the arrival of yet another fae, who she immediately knew as Dawnsong. She had recognized her from her scrying bowl. She was late, but not late enough for reprimand. Next time, Dalia would see to it that she arrived on time to her summons. "Looks like Destine and Dawnsong both found eggs too. We should go take them this egg, so that they can care for it when it hatches," she said, pointing to the egg Caer was holding. "After all, it is their responsibility...plus, I know how much Dawnsong enjoys it." She gave Caer a smile and flew over to the pair of adult fae, curious to see what they'd found.

Caer kneeled down and very carefully picked up the polished egg. She fancied she could feel a soft pulse from it. "Patience little one," she said, cupping it with her hands and slowly standing up. "I'm as excited as you are but we mustn't get ahead of ourselves! Now lets get you to our friends."

Slowly, Caer flew over to join the animated company. She has met Dawnsong and Destine before, and fate has seen to it that they have become fast friends. Often has Caer visited Destine in her residence and have found her gentle elegance very pleasing. In contrast, Caer is appreciative of Dawnsong's cheerful personality as it shows great enthusiasm and it makes the eggs feel at home.

"Hello," she said. "I have a little one here that is just throbbing with joy! Did you find anymore?"
