IMPORTANT DATES
(Dates that Xiang Mi and Natsu wishes to remember)

• July 13th, 2007 : Natsu saw an Erhu at one of an ancient chinese artifact shop nearby as he came from school. He wanted to buy it, but it seems that he needs few more days till he is able to have it.
  
  July 31st, 2007 : Rie told Natsu that the Erhu is ready and he can take it out of the shop. Natsu really thrill and very happy that the Erhu is very well cleansed and shined. It looks better then the first time he found it at the shop.

ABOUT THE SHOP
(Main Information on the Chinese Artifact Shop - the place where Natsu bought the Erhu)

History

• It is owned by Kirin, who agreed to take over the shop after her grandfather's death. Her grandfather had been collecting ancient chinese artifacts that were enchanted with spirits throughout his life. He was hoping that, by selling these artifacts to the people, he could awaken the sleeping power from the Goddess' blessing as he believes still exist. Unfortunately, not only it is hard to be sold, some of the sold ones were returned and some were lost just like that. Thus, Kirin was his only hope to continue his mission.

Overview

• Kirin's store was located in a small suburban area of Menewsha. The outside looked as if the house was going to break down, with outdated designs and peeling paints. On the inside, however, the structure looked fine. The room, although not too small, was crowded with artifacts from China. A brown haired girl can be usually seen within the shop. When she was asked, however, she'd usually point out that Kirin, the owner of the shop, was inside. However, there seemed to be no "inside" of the shop.

Kirin Tan

• Owner of the store, Kirin is a demure Chinese girl who appears to be in her teens. Not much is known about her other than the fact that she is very shy and does not like to talk to others. In fact, she is usually hidden in the back room of the shop, taking care of the artifacts that was left over by her relatives. No one really knows why she'd want to open a shop, some say that it wasn't even her idea to start this shop to begin with. Despite her isolated personality, Kirin does have the ability to recall spirits from the artifact. Without her, this shop wouldn't have been so magical.

Rie Frails

• Rie is the helper of the shop, but is often mistaken as the true owner since she is the one that is seen up front. She is a very close friend of Kirin, and is gladly helping her out in taking care of the shop. Rie is very outgoing and is a tomboy. She is not afraid to use physical forces if she has to, so be sure not to enrage her!

Nu Wo

• Nu Wo is the first spirit that is recalled by Kirin. She is born from an ancient artifact left over in the days of creation. A rock, more specifically, that is used by the Goddess, Nu Wo, to patch up the shattering sky to save mankind. Nu Wo is a mystical artifact, and is currently in its spirit stage.

GROWTH STAGES
(Stages that Xiang Mi have to go thru)

This is Xiang Mi's growth stages view. He is bound to be going to 5 stages in his spirit life depending on how much time he spend together with Natsu and all other things that count.

1. Artifact

• This stage is directly right after Natsu bought the artifact (Erhu) from ths shop. It is still dormant at this stage and it's still up to Natsu to keep it or re-sell it to Kirin. ( Points needed : 0 )

2. Enchanced

• If Natsu start to feels attached to the Erhu he just bought long enough, the Erhu will starts to have smokes coming out from it! If Natsu feels scared out of his wits, he can return the Erhu to the shop. But to the positive thought, Natsu would feels anxious on what's going on with the Erhu when it goes all smokey and stop touching it (though still be checking out on it very regurlarly just in case something bad is happening to it). ( Points needed : 20)

3. Sprite

• If somehow Natsu able to keep himself calm, he might be able to reach a day when he saw a little creature sitting next/on top of his Erhu and not only that, it can talk too! But at this stage, the creature only able to speak in chinese. Natsu will gives him a name, but he prolly wont be able to understand anything about what he is saying and needs to go back to Kirin and seek for her advice. ( Points needed : 50 )

4. Spirit

• After going through all of those hardship, Xiang Mi prolly will grow strong enough to the point that he dont need the Erhu to stick around anymore. Natsu prolly can start to teach him to speak English early so he can communicate with Xiang Mi, but he can also not to choose that. But if Xiang Mi able to reach this stage, he definitely would be happy enough having someone to be his friend throughout his life. ( Points needed : 200 )

5. ???

• If natsu is really attached to Xiang Mi, he prolly would want him to be mortalized. If that ever happen, he must go and seek Kirin for help again. Just hope everything still goes on well by then.. ( Points needed : Alot..)

ENVIRONMENT
(The place where Natsu and Xiang Mi living in)

Natsu lives by himself in an penthouse apartment that someone bought for him few years ago. After all the tragedy in his life, he finally able to live in his freedom but tightly secured for his own good.



His penthouse is located at a building just 3 block across his workplace. He got a very lovely rose garden right outside the balcony. All of the interior and furnitures are white themed and look very spacious and clean. The penthouse is just beside a very beautiful beach, so it became the mainview through the balcony instead of the city.



Natsu puts the enchanted Erhu at the main living room where he always relax his mind and breathing the sweet smells fromt he sea. Right outside the balcony, he always take the Erhu with him, cleans it (eventhough it always clean) and make it shines before he started playing it every night to ease his loneliness living in such huge place alone.

NATSUHIDE LUCILIUS (NATSU)
Status : University Student (Political Science) and Part time model
Age : 19 years old (looks like 16)
Eyes : hazel brown
Skin : very fair / white
Body : 172cm tall. thin and slender

Loves: White roses, chocolates in all form (ice creams..cakes..etc) and Teddy Bear.

About :
Sweet and stubborn at the same time. He hardly smiles, but that doesnt mean, he never smiles. He is a very quiet but very gentle in his actions and can be quite child-like to person he closed with (which is not many). He got the angelic looks and personality but he could be very daring and little-devil-like if he want to. Natsu always looks spaced out and down, but he never seen crying. No one could really tell his trueself by first sight. Natsu is someone with lots of secrets and dark memories. He also never shout or rise his voice. He can be very nice to the person he is close with and can also be very generous (to the point of wasteful).

Status : One of the 9th dragon lord's son - Qiuniu who resides in Natsu's Erhu
Age : looks like 18 years old
Eyes : grey green and always halfly opened.
Skin : pale / white
Height : 168cm tall.

Loves: Reading books, listening to music, spacing out.

About :
He always talk what he thought was right that always mistaken by being arrogant and didn’t care what others’ feelings at first meetings. When taking any action, he always very impulsive. He use his instinct a lot then his brain. As a solitary type of person, he doesn’t really go well with big crowd, but he's still approachable in personal or lesser crowd. He's not loud, but he has a very warm heart and loves music so much that it always giving his calm.

History :
Erhuancient Asian instrument, brought to China during the Han dynasty (~140 B.C.. It is believed to have evolved from the xiqin (奚琴), which was described as a foreign, two-stringed lute in an encyclopedic work on music-by-music theorist Chen Yang called Yue Shu (book of music), written during the Northern Song Dynasty. The Xiqin is believed to have originated from the Xi people of Central Asia, and have come to China in the 10th century.

Being said to be able to create sounds similar to human voice, the Erhu can also imitates many natural sounds such as birds and horse. Played with a variety of techniques, it is now extremely popular for both solo and orchestral performances. In classical Chinese music the Erhu is melodic, haunting, ever changing, and alive. The traditional style of playing is rich in ornamentation, giving the music a deep, three-dimensional quality.

Qiuniu is one of Dragon Lord's son that really loves music and his figure is a common decoration on the bridge of stringed musical instruments. Thus, the Erhu that Natsu bought from the ancient chinese artifact shop is one of the enchanted Erhu , which having the spirit of a qiuniu in it.

The Erhu was made by a very talented musical instrument maker that people said, his items always seems alive. One day as he trying to search for material to make an Erhu, he found a very rare kind of items that he thought would be great to use as the Erhu strings. As he finished the Erhu, he tried to play it and the Erhu sounds very very beautifully until it being heard by one of the quiniu dragon whom later decided to resides in it to listen to the song played by the Erhu forever more.

Concept Form:

• Name: Yiesha
  Artifact: Erhu and Qiuniu (囚牛 pinyin qíuníu)
  History:
  The Erhu is an ancient Asian instrument, brought to China during the Han dynasty (~140 B.C.). It is a member of the /huqin family. Bowed instruments became popular in China during the Sung dynasty (A.D. 960-1279).
  
  The Erhu can be traced back to instruments introduced into China more than a thousand years ago. It is believed to have evolved from the xiqin (奚琴), which was described as a foreign, two-stringed lute in an encyclopedic work on music-by-music theorist Chen Yang called Yue Shu (book of music), written during the Northern Song Dynasty. The Xiqin is believed to have originated from the Xi people of Central Asia, and have come to China in the 10th century.
  
  The body of the Erhu is a drum-like little case usually made of ebony or sandalwood and snake skins. It usually has a hexagonal shape with the length of approximately 13 cm. The front opening is covered with skin of python (snake) and that of the back is left open. The functions of this case of resonance are to amplify the vibrations of the strings. The neck of the Erhu is about 81 cm long and is manufactured with the same materials as the drum. The top of the stem is bent for decoration. The two tuning handles (pegs) are found close to the end of the stem. There is no frets (as contrast to the lute) or touching board (as contrast to violin). The player creates different pitches by touching the strings at various positions along the neck of the instrument. The strings are usually made of silk or nylon.

  Appearance: Long dark black color with shades of wine (not streaked) that usually being tied up with hair sash, soft pale white skin that seems almost translucent, beautiful pair of eyes but it’s always only half open. He usually wears beautiful and many-colored Hanfu decorated with beautiful patterns especially of dragons. He has dragon horns on his head in his human form.

I started the entry after everything is setted up and gotten the cert, but i put the date before it so that, I can write rp of natsu and xiang mi, before the day he officially owned the erhu (by getting the cert from the shop)

ONE HOT DAY
(July 13th, 2007 : The first meet)

• Today is monday. Classes wont finish until it is 430pm. I should be having violin class at 6pm, but it still long to go. Thus, went for a little walk around shops near my college. I feels like looking something special for myself. It's been awhile since I do shopping of thing other then clothings and foods.
  
  As I walk mindlessly, I arrived in one area that I've never been before. It's an area that looks different from the rest of the city. A run down shop stood right at the middle of the area. I entered the shop in curiosity and I found the shop is full with ancient Chinese artifact. It seems very interesting and my eyes stucked on one of the very beautiful musical instrument they got in it.
  
  "Erhu" it said on the sign right in front of it. As I read the description under the name, I feels so interested on having the item. The dragon head that decorating it, making it even more beautiful and unique. I wonder if I can purchase it. I tried to look around for the shop owner but no one is seen around.
  
  Looking at the watch, it's already 5:45 pm. Time really run too fast. I leave the shop in curiosity still bugging my mind. I hope to come again tomorrow and hope I can meet with the shop owner to ask more about the Erhu.
