October 14th ~ Kyrstal discovers a strange egg and takes it home. Theo says it smells off and that they shouldn't eat it.

Name- Krystal Midon
Gender- Female
Age- 23
Species- Crystal Fairy
Appearance- Krystal has dark green skin with white swirls all over it resembling green jade.. Her eyes are a light yellowish brown resembling topaz or carnelian. She also has wings made of amber, they are shaped like crystal spars. Her hair is a dirty blond that doesn't quite reach her shoulders. Another major feature is her larger than normal ears. They are elf like and pointed, the under side of them is thin jagged and sharp.

Personality- Krystal is a very quiet and gentle young woman. She is dedicated, loyal, and sometimes selfless trying to put the good of all before her own needs. She is quite smart since most of her life this far has been spent studying. Krystal's not athletic in that outgoing and competing sense but she is very fit and loves to perform ceremonial, ritual and religious dance.

Most of Krystal's time is spent studying so she can learn stronger magics and live up to her family name. She doesn't socialize much outside of other magic workers around her age or those studying the same magics as her. When she does meet other's Krystal is fairly friendly and enjoys in depth conversations. Left to her own devices Krystal prefers to quietly read either for pleasure or in study.

Personal History-
Krystal is the the youngest of three children in her family. Her older brothers, are both competent magic fighters, her father is a tailor and her mother a teacher. In the small crystal fairy colony in which she grew up Krystal was a middle class citizen who lived a fairly simple and normal life.

At six she began attending school , learning the basic principles of reading, writing and math. At ten she began taking introductory to crystal magic classes where she learned to harness the power of crystal and use them as focuses and catalysts. Her magic wasn't very strong yet and she also continued to learn practical skills so that she could also pursue a career outside of mage if she wished as well as so she could learn the basics needed to survive on one's own.

When she was eighteen Krystal chose to go the academy a place where those interested in studying and advancing crystal magic could earn degrees and be given access to many crystals not available to the public. Krystal has spent five years there so far fine tuning her magical abilities and working in the division of crystal based summoning.

Currently Krystal is pregnant due to an accident between herself and Theo.

Family

Gender- Male
Age- 18
Appearance- Theo resembles an anthropomorphic cross between a fox and cat. His body is covered in white fur with purple tips to here fingers toes ears and they. There are also purple fanglike marks under his eyes. On each of his ears is a small silver hoop earing.

Despite being mostly animal like Theo goes have human like hair. His hair is black, thick and long . Normally it's back in a wrapped ponytail to keep it under control

Personality- Theo is an an energetic and cheerful young man. Still young he's very childish at times and prone to practical jokes and immature comments that get him into trouble. He runs with a crowd his age and tends to think of responsibility as thing for other people.

Personal History- Theo is the only child in his family. He was raised his parents and the rest of his clan so he never lacked others to play with. Cousins, aunts and uncles were always around to talk to and offer him wisdom when he needed it. Life was a journey and one that he never felt he needed to try and take alone.

Krystal sat at the kitchen tabled and wrote slowly into a small dark blue notebook. Wrapped in a towel beside her the object of her journal entry remained silent and immobile.

October 15th 2007

Life has been interesting to say the least. I have felt no changes in the state of my pregnancy but perhaps I can say maternal instinct came into play. Theo says I'm just attracted to shiny things but what does he know, he's just an immature boy

Anyway, I was out on my walk into town for some food supplies when I noticed this strange store. I'm not sure if it was there before and I'd missed it or if like us it has sprouted up overnight. Either way, it was on the way to the grocery store so I left it be and decided I'd stop back in if i didn't feel too tired after shopping.

Naturally I went back later and was pleasantly surprised. I met an interesting person and an interesting.. Beat I believe it was called. that was certainly an experience I won't forget. In the end I ended up receiving a Beat egg of my own. I wasn't entirely sure I needed another responsibility but then again these beings are special. Even if Theo says the egg looks strange and smells off. At least he didn't yell at me for brining back another mouth to feed instead of more food.

Hatchling

Theo drummed his claws on the kitchen table and Stared at the egg that also rested on it. Nestled in A white towel it's colours stood out even more. Green fading into a dark blue then purple and finally a rich crimson top. Theo had no clue what would come from the egg but if it was half as colourful it'd be an eyesore for sure.

" Your su-"

"For the last time yes I'm sure it's fine I can hear it moving around plenty in there" Theo cut off Krystal and sighed as he looked at her. " It will be fine much like you. I'm certain of it." This was as close to reassuring and compassionate as Theo could be.

Krystal just shook her head but smiled softly. She could tell he was trying. It was better than nothing. Massaging her swelling stomach she walked away from the counter and sat at the table opposite Theo.

The egg between them as if in reaction to the shivered a bit appearing to vibrate. Cracks began to appear in the shell and before either adult could react It burst apart leaving behind a slightly wet looking..

" Oh great another fairy" Theo muttered eyeing the young thing with something less than pleasure. It did resemble it's egg to a degree though the lack of as much colour was simply switched for antenna, some sort of forehead jewel and wings. Shaking his head Theo just sighed. He had the worst luck.

In far happier mood Krystal smiled and picked up the young Beat. " Come along little Melo I'll get clean and then we can go to town." Although she was nervous Melo's appearance soothed Krystal a bit and gave her hope that she could raise him right.
