Scribbled-dear- Since I haven't made any rolls yet nor am processing any forms from new users, now would be the ideal time to donate. It would be much appreciated if you would send the gold and/or items directly to Phobos and Deimos, otherwise I have to redirect from my account and I do my best to keep things straight but there is always a chance for human error. The birdies would be most appreciative.

It's the summer event; there's a special subforum set up where you can hangout and enter in contests ran by the site staff to win prizes - I've entered or am going to be entering a couple of them. The pies are the event currency, like we have gold for the site currency regularly, and with every event they release new common items in the special event store that can be bought with either gold or the event currency (pies). These items are half the price they're going to be when they're moved into the regular stores after the event is over.

With events they also release special items called EIs or Event Items. These rarer items can be bought during the event, or earned or won, but they're not moved to the regular shops after the event is over. You absolutely have to buy/earn/win them during the event.

Does that help, Orchid?

[/COLOR]This is my second post.

I always feel bad in forums like this, asking for things and giving nothing in return... I guess I'll wait until this account is older and richer and I'll donate or something...
I'm so glad that there are people who are willing to donate to newbs. XD

@"The_Crow":
I see you like Ouran. I just finished the anime myself, but the manga was nowhere in sight. I missed out on all those exciting events.
I'll have to go find it then. :k
I'm a really big fan of the twins myself. XD

Let's see...
I also watched hetalia,
And I watched and read Fruits Basket

triforcebear: Hello, and welcome to Menewsha! Your posts only count when they are in this specific thread, so unfortunately your post count is one, but there is no need to worry, if you're lucky we can get you clothed in a matter of minutes if you're online. You never you know... stranger things have happened (Especially when The Crow cosplays as The Doctor from Doctor Who and attends a Beach Party... alas I digress).

There is absolutely NO NEED to feel bad here, and I'm sure I will have a minature chorus of people backing me up on this shortly. Have you seen the list of people we have donated to, and those who have won other prizes on the front page? (That doesn't even count out all the page prizes people win EVERY PAGE). We're here to help, because starting out is rough.

If you feel like giving back, that is great, but for now, just relax, and maybe tell us about yourself.

What brought you to Menewsha?

How do you feel so far?

Do you have any questions that you are afraid are 'stupid' that you would like to go ahead and get over with?

Are you a Legend of Zelda fan? ;)

Ahh, this makes me crazy. I've posted three times and each time it erased everything as if I never posted anything at all. Goodness. I hope this doesn't mean I can't post in a row. Whatever.

Unfortunately, dear, it does mean you can't post in a row. "Double posting" was an infraction because you get gold for each separate post and some people would spam and spam, and then you would receive an infraction from the moderators :(

However, now if you post and nobody has posted after you, the system automatically 'merges' the posts for you so you don't get in trouble! There is a manual override that you can use when setting up very specific threads for very specific purposes in in certain instances (for example when I set up this charity's front page). Otherwise, it's a no-no on the site. It is different from other forum sites but hopefully you'll get used to it.

I am in fact an Ouran fan, and Kyoya is my favourite host by far. Like the twins, he was someone who was really touched by Haruhi, but for the most part he is the 'Shadow King', and without him not only would the club have been founded, but it would have fallen apart immediately. Also his intellect is unrivaled among the characters... did you catch a glimpse at that mathematics he was doing in junior high? It reminded me of my Pre-Calculus!

@Crow:

It's really nice that you bother to give people an individual reply.

I've been playing on gaia for a while now, and my friend recomended this site for me.
Also, I'm rather sure I've been posting in this thread.... Unless I wasn't, well, that'd be awkward.

Right now I really like this site, I like the currency method, and I think the people are nicer than most sites.

I'm a huge Zelda fan. I've played almost all the games.

I also thought about this post way too much. It took me a really long time to type up. XD
Partially because I'm watching "I Love Lucy" XD

@Crow: Goodness, I get finished with one post and you're already ahead of me. :O
The double posting rule makes sence, they have a very well-run system here, don't they?
I take forever to type things up...
I love when characters have a dark and mysterious side to them. It adds humor to the story... Well for me it does.
And hello Scribbled Lore~!

@triforcebear- Well you are at four posts now, only one more to go and we'll get you a starter dress (which isn't that grand, but it allows you to save your gold for things you actually want), and a surprise gift as well! I don't even know what that is yet, I'll have to do a super-secret dice roll.

Individual attention is one of the perks of Menewsha. The forum moderators actually moderate, and people do bother to type out replies to you, as opposed to getting ignored because fifty people have posted and the page has jumped.

@Scribbled- Why such a long night, dear? I feel like I've had a long night because between the hours of two am and seven am I doubt I've slept. I'm about to have some Reese's Puffs cereal, take my 'morning meds', and see if that can knock me out for a few hours at least. I really need to get my sleep managed, it is my top priority with my doctor, psychiatrist, and therapist.

I've been in many site forums, and that is very unusal, it always seems that moderators are never on, and that they ignore most of the things that they see if they actually see anything. It hardly allows the internet to be a safe and approprate place for the younger generation.

Oh, nothing so serious for me, I missed taking my nap yesterday and then went to game at a friend's house. Our V:tM tabletop! I ended up in clan Tzimisce! I'm kind of excited about it and I'm thinking about doing some writing for my character as she learns about what it means to be apart of the clan and the laws of hospitality.

I'm not getting the greatest quality of sleep but I am consistently getting sleep and so my psychiatrist and therapist are pleased with me for the moment. I've got a two week vacation from my DBT program as they switch modules and add some new people to the group so for the next couple of weeks I only have to go to the processing group and not the skills group.

Menewsha is a fairly awesome place to hangout, if you ask me. I do like the system they have in place because it demands a higher quality of posting from the users which in turn encourages more civil and friendly behavior and that results in a much nicer environment.

Has anyone here been on Neopets before? The forums there are downright scary. It's safe but people there have no consideration for everyone else. Sometimes I find it somewhat funny.

@Scribbled- That's a bit eerie... my DBT group is about to switch modules as well. This next week is our final week on 'communication skills'. I really had to put that to the test recently with somebody who self admittedly "ditched and disappeared" on me after I had recently made myself vulnerable to them... they are going to have a mini 'mindfulness' module which I might skip, then just in time for the Holidays: "Stress Management"!!! Count me in for that one. I'm sorry that you're having some issues with your sleep schedule as well... it really throws everything else off, doesn't it?

Also, I've played characters from The Mighty Clan Lasombra, online though, and it is really ironic how these 'monstrous' characters have their pristine laws of hospitality towards each other. The Lasombra are like the Ventrue of the sabbat... except badass. BAMF is something I've never, ever heard used to describe a Ventrue.

@triforcebear- When I first joined I received so many "0 point infractions" I thought that at least one of the moderators had it out for me personally. We eventually became friends and even met up in real life (And we're both still alive... -dark chuckle-)

triforcebear: I'll let you know in detail later so you can avoid making the same 'grey area' mistakes, yourself. You're welcome here anytime, please do come back so you can fill out your form, PM it to me, so I can send you your free goodies. I would also suggest subscribing to the thread if you plan to post here regularly... that way it is easy to find if you click "My Account".

Crow:

It sounds like the DBT programs are set up in a very similar fashion; we're starting emotion regulation after we do the module on mindfulness for the new people.

Hahah! Yeah. :XD BAMF is not a word I use to describe the typical Ventrue but I've met a person or two that played a BAMF Ventrue. They're just.. rare. I was really pleased to learn about the laws of hospitality because that's something I live by offline in my day-to-day life. It doesn't always work out but I try. I figured it would be easy for me to adjust to playing a Tzimisce.

It's a really weird game, though. We're playing a bunch of Independent and Sabbat clans that have gone rogue and are siding with the Camarilla now. It's... weird.

We thought my partner was going to end up a Lasombra but the ST pulled a fast one and switched him to Ravnos. This is going to be interesting.

Triforcebear:

We'll see you later! *waves*

Ravnos can be fun to play... My Ravnos character is my 'chaotic neutral' V:tM character. A 'thrillseeker' demeanour as well. Not good. Not evil. Just whatever happens to be the most fun at the time. I definately have to be in a jovial mood to play her, though.
