Do you only play V:tM online or do you have friends that you LARP or do a sit down game with from time to time? *curious*

I've done a couple of instances of horrid, horrid, half-assed LARPing that I would almost rather forget and they never lasted more than one session.
The last time I table topped was back in high school. Our ST brought Vampires, Mages, Werewolves, and Changelings together and we used D&D settings and such. It was hodgepodge but fun. After work, the gamer geeks from EBX, plus me from The Game Keeper, and a few other people, with pizza and Old White Wolf. I was elated but my parents were annoyingly overprotective. I went over to the ST's house once a week after work, and I knew everyone's first name but because I didn't know his last name my stepmother and my father completely flipped out on me to the point where I had to ask him and read a piece of his mail because I was on the verge of tears at their harrassment and insecurity.
There are so many worse things I could have been doing. Let me sit around a table bantering with gamer-geeks without grief, kthnx.
Since then, though, I've only been able to roleplay online. Ironically, not unlike my avatars here on Menewsha, I have two Lasombra characters, one male and one female.

I haven't really gotten into LARPing but this is really the first chance I've gotten to sit down and play a tabletop game where the ST (or DM or GM) knows what they're doing. It's refreshing!
My parents were kind of like that with me when I was younger; I wanted to spend most of my time online hanging out with friends while my sister was out partying and they would give me grief because "you never know the REAL person behind the screen!" Ugh.
I really enjoy online role playing and writing for my characters.

I used to have a Little Mermaid poster on my wall when I was little. I looked at it recently and it has that...erm...appendage tower on it. O_o' lol. It's rather obvious now that I've actually seen one but I never thought anything of it growing up. *shrug*
@Crow- I had similar parent issues with gaming. I tried to play once when I was in high school and they flipped out. I didn't get to start playing regularly until I was in college. ^_^'
Parents can be so weird. All because a couple of idiots played D&D and then did something stupid. We'll just ignore the thousands upon thousands of people who roleplay on a regular basis and never go out in the woods to kill each other over it. >_<'
Be back later folks. Got a long drive to make. ^_^ *huggles*

I had to hide the fact that I was roleplay from my parents. You see, some teenagers hide drugs. Others hide alcohol. Others hide the fact they're having premarital sex. Others hide guns. Me? I hid books. Books on alternative spirtuality and roleplaying. I had to fit all of my Vampire books and New Age books behind and underneath my dresser, both in very narrow spaces, but as you've seen pictures of me, I am a stick. It still agitated my wrists to retrieve them and there was a bit of bumping, but now I'm safe, and I have whole bookshelves plural of religious and spiritual material (the Christian things sitting right next to the Taoist and Witchcraft books...) and my roleplaying books are no longer secret either. I also remember hiding my "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac Director's Cut" graphic novel under my bed for easy access because I was really feeling the dark humour at that time, especially amidst my stepmom's verbal and emotional abuse to my father and I.

Tana-dear- I'm sorry that you had to experience that. You see, the way timing worked out on the local channels my little brother and myself would watch Pokemon and Sailor Moon back to back before school every morning of high school. So, therefore, my parents, and my stepmom's annoying parents thought that anime and manga were all "baby stuff" and in fact I got yelled at many times saying how I need to grow up out of those "cartoons" and put that "baby stuff on the back burner", etc. They have no idea how complex and adult anime had the potential to be...

I used to hide my fanfiction. lol. By the time I started watching anime and roleplaying regularly, I no longer lived at home so they had little say in the matter. They got over it eventually...mostly.
I love them though. They'll just never understand some of my life choices.

@Boo-dear I'm sorry, the Steampunk Headgear is one of the CIs missing from my collection. -stares OCDishly at an empty place on a shelf with a nametag and everything...-
MCRAngel- Your last post sounded a little grim. I hope you're hanging in there and doing better.
triforcebear: I received your application, but it was not complete. Please re-read the RULES section on the first page to see if there is SOMETHING IMPORTANT you might have missed!

Oh my, I always forget to read the little text...
I guess that's a habit I need to break, as a matter of fact this brings up a memory. My sixth grade science teacher printed out list of things we need to do, so everyone followed the directions, but the last direction was something like: "Now that you read the directions completely, write nothing but pretend that you are writing and turn the paper in after your classmates have.
Only two people in the class did it right. :P
Apparently I never learned my lesson.

I always hated when teachers would do things like that; the school system is training you to be a mindless robot, why do they insert bits and pieces of hope and desire for you to be an individual or ahead of the pack? (/sarcasm)

Not only will she receive a starter dress, but also Vicky's Red Cupcake, a nice little snack that matches her hair, tee hee!
Have fun, and if there are any beak-sized bite marks taken out of the cream cheese frosting send all complaints to Deimos -eyes her sister who is in bird form-

The patrons of this thread know better than most that I am usually the one giving away items. Well, in case anybody is feeling generous enough to help me out, I have currently initiated my Sixth Quest and have also revamped my quest thread to reflect this.
Even if you cannot donate an item or gold, it would still be appreciated if anybody felt like hanging out and socializing
My personal quest thread often collects dust while I am scrambling to keep up with this one... >.>

triforcebear- Events are always a good time to join for new users, as you can get all kinds of things for free or half price! The only thing is they might be just a little intimidating or overwhelming but you know if you have any questions you have the people in this thread to help you out :) Cute avatar!
