Boo, I know there are resources to help those that need help with the light bill. I know in Florida, there is an energy assistance thing through the county level (depending on the county). I am sure there is something similar in your state. I can Google it for you if you like. :)

When things are going to hell and you don't have any other options and all you can do is wait.. my therapist says to do something small, whatever you can, for yourself and we've been in your spot before - lacking a utility or two, making do with food stamps and hoping that the next paycheck comes in on time (or not having a paycheck at all) and the little one upset.. and buying a thing of discounted cookies at Wal-mart was the best thing we could do for ourselves. It really helped.

If you can do something like that for yourself, I'd recommend it.
