my mom is worse than a child at times *venting* she comes home from work, sees me cleaning says nothing. dosent even thank me that she comes home to a clean house while mybrother is watching movies. then she lays on the couch, falls asleep then complains that i make noice in the living room when shes trying to sleep when she has her on M*************************ing room

Hello! I'm spending the weekend at my roommate's mom's house. Hurray for running water and electricity!! :ninja: And FRUIT CUPS!! ^_^ I gots my fruit cups! The food card finally came. Now I've just got to figure out how best to make it last until next month. ^_^' But at least I got fruit cups, no refrigeration required! ^_^ I got pineapple, mandarin oranges, and pears! :drool:

My hubby seemed to be in pretty good spirits (considering the circumstances ^_^' ). He got to eat one of his favorite foods for dinner, liver. :P And he made a new friend who may join our tiny roleplaying group along with his boyfriend. ^_^ This guy and my hubby both have similar issues and I think it will be good for my hubby to have a friend who knows what he deals with. Hopefully having a little more of a support system will be good for him. Previous I was the whole system and I had reached my breaking point. O_o'

Hello everyone. :) How is everybody? I had a great day today. :) Now to wait till tomorrow to go to another college campus. :S

Anyways... hm... I just realized my avatar looks epic. lol

lol, Hi Lizzy! ^_^ I'm doing surprisingly well actually. I had an awesome shower and a yummy supper and now I'm basking in air conditioned bliss. Unfortunately, I'm not at my house but one can't be greedy, ne. ^_^

Well even though I am in family chaos, at least I have lights and phone (not trying to offend, just saying). ^_^; Bills come first, although we're just glad we can pay our bills. If "all" bills were based on my credit... I would be in trouble. DX!

Bills would come first here too if I had any money to pay them. *shrugs* I have a grand total of twelve dollars to my name right now and that will most likely be used for gas so I can go around and apply at the temp places in town tomorrow. It is one of the only avenues of employment I've yet to try. I hadn't thought about them until my dad mentioned it the other day. It made me feel kind of silly for not remembering them sooner. Hopefully I can make a good impression all freshly showered and dressed nice. ^_^' I'm not great at first impressions, due to Aspergers for the most part....at least I think it is Asperger's. I might just be socially inept or something. *shrugs* I need to get tested....maybe then they could help me get a job or at least tell me what I'm doing wrong. ^_^'

Fruit cups sounds unfamilair for me. What are they? Like.....fruit yoghurt? Or....pre-made? D;

@Boo- I'm hanging in there, and though I've been through severe emotional trauma I should still count my blessings because the only bottom level Maslow's Heirarchy item I am still missing is sleep, as I am writing this at three AM. I have been where you are. Food Stamps. No money. Behind on rent and bills. I actually cut myself and checked myself into psych emergency over it. Here there is a decent organization called "St Vincent De Paul". They run a homeless lunch line, which I feel odd standing in as I'm the only clean, very young, and white person there... but I used to be able to get a 'desk ticket' before they cut back and get a gasoline voucher for $10. There is also moving assistance available but you have to have a lease signed and such... a little trickier, but you can double up on sandwhiches, take as many donated pastries as you like... I could get enough food to feed me for two days with what was considered one of their 'meals'. Thankfully, due to circumstances I only show up every 2-4 months, but the staff remember me for some odd reason.

@LeannaAnne- If you don't mind my asking, where do you live, dear? In The States fruit cups are a common supermarket item, usually aimed at putting in children's lunch boxes. Do you know of maraschino cherries? Fruit cups are kind of like that, they are preserved fruit that doesn't require refrigeration until opened. The peaches contain, well, almost identidcal peach pieces that you would find in yoghurt but in a light juice-like syrup. There is also the 'fruit cocktail' mix that contains peaches, pears, pineapple, and sometimes, white grapes and maraschino cherries. There are also 'mandarain oranges' that can come in fruit cups as well but for some reason they don't mix well with other fruits so are usually by themselves. Once again, in a light sweet 'juice/syrup'. They're less healthy and more sugary than fresh fruit but they are portable and have a much longer shelf life: you generally don't have to worry about them 'going bad'.

Thats with about all the fruit things that aren't the real fruit anymore. They're fabriced in a way they'll just stay fresh D;
