Well, you could have used the pies to buy cheap commons and Event Items from the Special Event Store. I find that the events here on Menewsha are a lot of fun because you get the chance to ,meet a lot of new people and participate in fun games. Like the Wheel of Fate was really cool for this more recent event and then some people got their Baby Yans.

I had another 'fun' night at the hospital. Scale 8 pain... just about everything I could do hurt, from taking a large exhale, to adjusting my position on the sofa (I screamed and my roomate commented 'that's a new one'), lifting an arm, turning my neck, I would feel random stabs in my ribcage, behind my shoulderblades, and all over my back.
Don't doubt for a moment that I love you crazy kids, but my life is frequently... 'special'.
Strange; I always imagined the mystery word in question to be 'skiddish' (t and d are very similar phonemes, after all!). Skittish/Skiddish sounds like it derives from something that skids alot, because it is running alot; someone or something that is very easily frightened or startled and is likely to take off running as a result.

I have a collection of hospital bracelets. I'm not quite sure whether that is amusing or sad.

 My grandma Line might die. I don't know what to do right now. I feel so bad and such. I'll make a life issues thread later. This day was so hard and yesterday was hard too. I am just glad I am alive. :)

I'll keep you in my prayers Lizzy. What's wrong with her? *huggles*
Crow- I don't think it's sad. It just shows you have a sense of humor about your issues. *hugs* Are you feeling better?

She is critical condition. I had to call 911 for her yesterday, because no one else in the fam would do it that was in the "house". My neighbor/friend told me, "If you hadn't had called, I would had called." So I mean man... my family is being ripped apart right now. :( I'll make a thread when I feel up to it.

It seems like right now we should all have pretty active and busy life issues thread. My heart goes out to you, Lizzy, not just for your Grandmother, but the effect that it is having on your family as a whole.
I have been told by multiple people now that when I went to Florida I ended up saving my mother's life by getting Adult Protective Services aware of her condition and kind of forcing her husband to take some kind of responsibility. I'm pretty sure he has some flavour of autism among a few other things but doesn't take any medicine or therapy.
And when my Father made his serious suicide attempt it really tore my already falling apart family out here into shreds.
My apologies, I didn't intend to go on about myself quite so much but I do know the feeling of what it is like to have to be the one to stand up, and I also know how one person's condition can affect a handful of people and basically cause a shitstorm of drama. If you need to take a longish-term break from Menewsha just let me know and I'll take you of the whitelist (NOT as a punitive measure, but so you don't have the 'responsibility' of being my second string).

It's ok, Crow. I need some happiness in my life. Menewsha is what I have besides book sorting today. Also I have my internet now, so that is good news somewhat.
Bad news... my grandma Line is dead. :( She died between 12am and 1:30am EST. Sad thing is... well I'll leave it to the life issues thread. Thanks for being there, y'all.

Lizzy-dear- Well, if Menewsha is a coping mechanism then by all means use the comfort you find here to its fullest. At least you know there are a scattered crowd of people that will take a moment of their day to pause and listen to what you have to say. It's sometimes difficult to find that in real life.
Condolences on your grandmother. Death is a phenomenon that will one day embrace us all, and if it is any comfort "There is no end to the circle, no end, there is no end to life there is no end..."
I just updated my own life issues thread about how I have another hospital bracelet to add to my collection. -.-;
Time to go submerse myself in near-scalding water to physically relax the muscles in my back that cannot be relaxed any other way due to the extreme fusion of bone and metal. Heh. I'm the first step towards being a cyborg.

I'm so sorry to hear that Lizzy. *huggles* Losing someone you love is always hard. I lost my Father-in-law last year and my grandfather the year before that. If you need to talk you can PM me. *hugs* I'll pray for your family as well. Hopefully you all can work through whatever else is going on. Grief takes time to heal but it does get better. I've gotten to the point where I can finally talk about Dad without tearing up. Just try and remember the good times with your grandmother and if that is too painful right now, find something to take your mind off things for a while (like reading or a movie or something).
On a different note, I'm making crafty stuffs to sell on Etsy. If anyone wants to see what I've got so far Look Here! I'll be adding more bags and maybe some headbands and insulated lunch totes as soon as I get them done.
