Usually the @Name doesn't ping like that, but it's pretty useful to grab someone's attention, though it can be annoying at times. But seeing as I sometimes forget to check back places I can dig it. Might turn off the pop up notices, if possible.

You pinged? ^_^ Yep that's how it works. Most people only use it to contact contest winners (or when they otherwise feel it is important to get someone's attention on a particular post). You won't get pinged unless it is important usually so it wouldn't be a good idea to turn that feature off (not that you can anyway, as far as I know). People generally won't annoy you with random pinging.

Are you enjoying Mene so far? Have you sent Crow your form requesting shinies?

I have not sent a request yet, though I think I'm up to five posts so I should do it. Have to not be lazy!

Nothing wrong with lurking but don't be afraid to just jump in wherever (with the possible exception of the RP forum, lol). We don't bite...not unless you ask really nicely. ;)

The charity forums are a great place to find good threads to hang out in. That is where I do most of my posting. If you like contests then you can find some fun avi contests in the contest and giveaway forum to hang out in.

Ah, I usually have a hard time keeping up with very fast pace chats on forums so I lurk quite a bit. I haven't check Mene all weekend, was busy watching my friend's charity video game marathon and sleeping after it since I stayed up 24 hours.

I think it is very nice of you to be doing this for the people who are new here. I myself am new to this website. Literally, I just joined today. And I have a gaiaonline account so I can relate to what you are saying on this post. I was very surprised to find that you do not get a starter outfit and would have to walk around nekkid as you said. It is pretty embarrassing to be honest -_- lol. And the fact that you have no money AT ALL does not help our case. It is also very hard to make money here when compared to gaia - which sometimes awards you cash for surfing! I hope I get qualified for this as I can no longer be naked. It is not very nice at all.

So do you own a gaia account then? What level are you on it then? My favourite activity on gaia would be zOmg! I must say that zOmg! is one addicting game. I love the whole concept of it. It is certainly addicting. The main reason I am on this website now is because I wanted to explore some more of these virtual games. I like to experiment and find new things you know? I did some research on the internet and everything. That's how I came across this website. Sorry if I sound rude or if I offend you in anyway, but I must say gaiaonline is a better website. You can earn cash more quickly, the games have a huge variety, and the overall appearance and function is better on gaia. What do you think?

lol, sounds fun. ^_^ I don't have any Halloween plans yet unfortunately. I may try to throw something together from my wardrobe but we've got no money to do anything special. I'm more concerned with planning for our Wedding Anniversary on the 5th of November. I really want to be able to go out to eat somewhere. Nothing expensive mind you, just the local Chinese buffet or something like that. We haven't been out in so long and my husband and I absolutely love Chinese food. I'm really hoping I can scrape together enough money in time.

On that note, I'm going to go check over some of the online job boards and see if I can do a bit of writing or something. I would have gotten to it earlier today but I spent most of the day moving my computer and getting it set up in our ex-roommate's old room. He moved out a few days ago. Hubby and I have taken over his room because it is the only room in the house with decent insulation and it has a built in desk as well from when it was my father-in-law's room.

Oh, and hubby's therapy got pushed back AGAIN. This makes it over two months since he was released from psychiatric care, with the strict understanding that he would start therapy right away, and he has yet to see the therapist once. He's liable to end up back in there before his appointment rolls around.
