By the way rhaye: and jhecvincent: You need to have five UNIQUE posts before you can send the form IN THIS THREAD. When you double/etc post, the system merges them for you (so you don't get in trouble with the actual site rules). It's considered spam and scrolling the forums if you were to actually multi-post. Though I've gotten to talk to you both in the event, there usually isn't an event happening (it's a bit of a treat) and this is how I get to know you guys. :)

noirist: You're not being rude, but I do think you're being really sweet. I'm sorry to say that the donation from Phobos and Deimos is "non-refundable". If you read the first post, all menewshans qualify for a gold donation for stopping by the charity's event thread. If you really really don't want it, there's nothing to stop you from donating it to anyone else.

Also, quoting someone is a feature in the thread that includes the text of what they say.

When you ping someone, it does not include their text. You start with the "@" sign, then spell their username (including any spaces, underscores, etc), and then finish with a semicolon ( this thing ; ) When you put all of that together, the system (usually) sends a private message to the person letting them know that somebody wants their attention in the given thread. It also makes the username italicized and a link to the person's profile.

jhecvincent: Hey. I received your form, but because so many of your posts have been merged, you only have three separte posts in the thread. I know it feels like you've typed more into the reply box, but as I said before... if your very own post was the last post, the system merges them. It puts the two (or more) of them together into one post. You need to have five separte posts... that means there is somebody else talking between what you say. This is so I see that the people in my charity are actually having a conversation with somebody else, not just making comments to themselves. I hope you understand, and my birds will send you a welcome package if you stick around, too.

I've been a bit distracted. A good onlline friend of mine from Texas was in a bad situation. He was homeless, and with a person who was taking all of his money to spend on adult activities and drugs, and lying to him. He got a phone for Christmas and then just kind of took a Greyhound out to the SF area, and he's crashing at my place and a friend's place while we try to get him on his feet.
