Yet is the key word. I do a lot of talking to myself in my head which sometimes results in oddly timed laughs or smirks that have no obvious meaning. It's sometimes disconcerting to other people.

-borrows a wooden spoon and a metal pot from another thread in order to bang and clang around to rouse the natives-

Scribbled Lore 09-02-2010 01:07 AM

*is roused?*

Heh, we're natives now.

Darke 09-02-2010 03:14 AM

*is not amused*

Quit it with the noise, it's already too hot and I've been ill all day.

Scribbled Lore 09-02-2010 09:43 AM

Aw, poor Darke. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well.

Darke 09-02-2010 10:00 PM

Unfortunately, since I have IBS, I tend to be ill fairly frequently.

Scribbled Lore 09-02-2010 11:14 PM

Same for my partner. Poor both of you.

Darke 09-02-2010 11:25 PM

Do they have any medication or anything to cope with it? Nothing I've been prescribed has really worked to any degree. I'm currently using methylcellulose gel before bed, though it isn't the most reliable prevention mechanism.

Dottie Mae Evans 09-03-2010 01:06 AM

**sneaks into Crow's Charity.** Hello everyone. How is everything?

The_Crow 09-03-2010 02:12 AM

I think we're all peachy. [/SARCASM]. I've been depressed, some people have been ill, others stressed out, and all kinds of combinations of the above.

Scribbled Lore 09-03-2010 12:17 PM

No, he takes bentyl as needed but otherwise doesn't have any type of medication for it. Mostly we monitor what he eats and what kind of stress levels he has, Darke.

There's hope, Lizzy, that my partner will be released from the hospital today but I'm trying not to get my hopes up in case the doctor and psychiatrist change their mind. It's frustrating because if they don't release him today they're most definitely releasing him next Tuesday and I don't have my schedule for work for next week so I'uno if I'd even be able to pick him up from the hospital. (The hospital he's in is 1.5 hours away from where we live/I work.)

I don't think I've ever seen you use the sarcasm tag, Crow.

The_Crow 09-03-2010 03:49 PM

I think it's time to re-shuffle my whitelist based on activity. I also need to figure out what your September gifts will be...

Scribbled Lore 09-03-2010 04:00 PM

It should be watermelon! *is munching on some now and is almost out* Surely you can send a watermelon through cyberspace. *wink, wink*

*feeling silly*

The_Crow 09-03-2010 04:04 PM

I was trying to think of something that I could see multiple people equipping this time of year. Watermelon is more summery. I was actually thinking of the left and right book sets.

Scribbled Lore 09-03-2010 04:05 PM

Ooo, I'm always a fan of books~.

The_Crow 09-03-2010 04:09 PM

I forgot what shop they were in, but there were two sets of books (right handed reading and left handed learning). I was going to alternate them semi-randomly like I did with the sparklers.

Scribbled Lore 09-03-2010 04:12 PM

I've never been through the all of the shops so I wouldn't know where to look. Sorry! But that does sound like a good idea. :)

The_Crow 09-03-2010 04:14 PM

If for some reason you don't like what you get you can ask to trade with somebody who hasn't requested an exemption from receiving the prizes or is on hiatus.

Scribbled Lore 09-03-2010 04:16 PM

Psh, it's a free gift for not doing any work. Besides all the things you've picked out have been cool. Why would I want to trade 'em away? :XD

The_Crow 09-03-2010 04:24 PM

See right now I need help funneling people here without going into fresh meat and saying to each user "Hey, come to my charity(link)!"

If the charities are moved, I'm afraid I'll have too much demand on the side of the new users and not enough settled users to answer their questions, make sure they check and double check the front page (even now over half the people don't get the quote on the first try).

Scribbled Lore 09-03-2010 07:42 PM

That's a good point. Have you mentioned that over in the thread of jelly's?

Dottie Mae Evans 09-03-2010 09:11 PM

Oh I see, Scribbled. :( I hope things work out for your partner. ^_^;

Anyways... I hope I get third place this time. :D I wouldn't mind first place, but I already have the CIs for this month. Also... the chances are slim. >_<;

Scribbled Lore 09-04-2010 11:37 AM

I wish I were able to keep up with the CIs but money is tight around here and there's no extra to splurge. :( I feel bad when I can't contribute to sites I use on a regular basis.

My partner has been released from the belly of the beast that is the psych ward! *cheers* He also has a job interview for this Wednesday that we're both hoping he gets.

Dottie Mae Evans 09-04-2010 01:55 PM

Oh. :( I just buy $10 worth of mennies and use them for two months. That way if that month I don't have the money, I'll have mennies to buy that CI set at least. :D

That is great your partner is home! :D! I hope he gets it too. :) I hope I am able to get my internship or something at least, I really need to get financially better. :S

The_Crow 09-04-2010 07:24 PM

Scribbled- My condolences to your partner! How long was he in the psych ward for? Thankfully I've only been in 'psych emergency' which doesn't count as an actual hospitalization unless they decide to keep you over the 72 hour observation time. I've been kept for 24 hours at most and am extremely bored, meek, and calm by the end of that just wanting to be in my own room with my own bed, computer, and books.
