My boys found one outside the other day and wanted to keep it until we realized it was a snapping turtle.

My baby snaps sometimes, but only when he's scared.
I love him very much :3

This one was hissing at me and with how my boys are about being very touchy with animals, I didn't want him to snap at them.

Yeh, they don't have teeth but it still hurts if they nip you!
Have to be careful with turtles, you can get salmonella from them!

They aren't hard to look after at all, they only need cleaned and fed xD
Of course, cleaning his tank take FOREVER because it's so big and I have to empty it with a bucket... Fill the bucket with water, go to the bathroom and throw it down the bath, back and fill the bucket again, and so on. Same thing goes gor filling it up again xD but that's my mistake for getting sucha big tank.

They do smell... But if you have a tank with a lid, they're no probelm :3
