You can solve that. Probably the easiest way is to set it up in the form of an equation...I can show you what you mean if you want on a piece of paper and scan it...Since It's kinda hard to 'explain'. (This is EXACTLY why I bitch about "group discussion" online...I can show but trying to use only words and talk about math is just like...torture... :cry:)

If I could see the word problem you originally worked with I could try to help you with it. I'm taking intermediate Algebra this semester...and the amount of times I've had to take some form of Algebra has made me fairly comfortable with it. I actually helped tutor one of my friends in it...

Algebra was my favorite class in high school 8D

Izumi - They're easy to solve, actually. If the question had been "solve these systems of equations" I woulda' knocked it's socks off. Put the equations into WORDS? Not so much. I hardly ever understand practical applications for math. x___X; I just do it.
