I know - food! I'm on prednisone which makes me hungry all the dang time. For freaking real. It's so annoying! This drug is awful.

Faux - I've never been on a medication that's done anything but make me lose my appetite. :sweat:

Prednisone actually inhibits the receptors in your brain that make you feel full. So, your body always thinks it's hungry. AND! If you don't eat, knowing that information about this terrible drug, it then feels like someone is jabbing an icepick in your stomach. It gets a little painfull.

It makes you gain weight, it thins out your hair, it can give you acne... though that doesn't seem to affect me that much...

Don't let the doctors give you this freaking drug. It sucks!

I'm also on chemo treatments and that makes you not hungry, you would think they would counter each other. They don't. *gah*

Faux - Is it for the lupus? it seems like that drug would be totally useless. o.O;

Yup. Actually, at the moment I think it's the only thing keeping the lupus at bay... but ~ it doesn't even do that good a job at doing that. And there are just so many stupid side effects... it's frustrating.

At least in a couple weeks I'll get my second stem-cell transplant and then hopefully I'll be semi-normal for a while after that. <3

Hey Boo. How are you?

I'm okay. Dealt with the funeral planning today. Tomorrow we have a lot to do as well but the funeral home takes care of most everything. We have to find clothes for me and my husband since most of our nice things are still in storage and my husband has some stuff to do for his class as well that we are still trying to take care of. We also have a friend moving in with us. That was already planned before this happened. We're just moving him for now though. Most of the heavy moving will happen next week after the funeral is done.

Sounds busy. D: Hopefully you guys have some help?
