We got a check in the mail today from Dad. He must have had it sent before he went into ICU. He used to sometimes have his bank mail us a check when he knew we were broke, which we have been recently. My husband went out to check the mail and came back in tears. The check says "I love you both. Hope this helps. Love Dad." I lost it and I've been weepy ever since. :headdesk:

And now I'm tempted not to cash the check even though we really could use the money because it was the last one we'll ever get.
