but i really shouldn't complain about the summers here... it's the winters i hate the most...

Good grief! That's the mentality that got my husband on his last drinking binge... he decided a bottle of cheap vodka would be more economical than a couple of expensive beers, and drank the whole thing in one night. So I gave him the wedding ring back and told him he couldn't give it to me again until he'd been to therapy. His appointment is in a few weeks.

Scholar - This guy's 21 and it doesn't surprise me really.
I know most 21 year olds like to party.

But yeah, I am teasing him about needing AA in a few years.

Yeah, he's really been working at turning over a new leaf in the last few weeks. Hasn't touched any alcohol, to my knowledge, and I don't think he can hide it. (I have a really good sense of smell, and our apartment is so small there's no place to hide anything.) I still don't think he's figured out, at age 46, what he really wants to do with his life yet. Because of the disability, too, he's still wondering what to do with the abilities he has left.
