Well, I'm not sure which browser you're using, but take a look at the five main tabs at the upper right hand corner of your screen, right below your avatar.
They should say "Home, Forum, Shops, Games, Contribute" in that order. If you go to shops, you will see a list of stores with a short description of each. By clicking on the store you can browse its contents. You can even 'save' items for later that you don't have the gold for now by using the shopping cart feature. I'd advise you to take a little time to go window shopping ;)

I owed the hospitals like 20k (but then got on the state-issued health care and that took care of that) AND I just got offered a job! Yay!
