I'm a city girl, I know - basically nothing about chickens accept they are tasty when you fry them. :)

:lol: I have gotten eggs many times. I get so scared about those damn things that I usually shove them off the eggs with a stick or something. Some of 'em just let you reach under there and others will peck at your hands. I can never remember which chickens do and don't, though, so I shove them all off when I can.

I've got pecked by chickens plenty. :P It's never hurt me. But getting bit by a duck...that's a different story. A dumb duck came up and bit my finger and I almost needed stitches. >.<

They don't...but they have a sharp point at the end of their beak. Usually, a duckling has it cut off if it's farm raised, but our one duck didn't have his cut off.

i have never been that close to ducks before... and thank goodness for that!
although i did get swarmed by all kinds of geese, me and my little little sister (i say 'little little' cause she is twenty years younger then myself) it was at an animal farm and they were just out and about frolicking with the people

I love geese. One time I went camping by a huge lake and the geese took up half the bank. I would go and sit down with them for an hour or two and listen to them honk. ^.^

Ducks aren't horrible, either. I mean, I could pet my ducks while they were nesting. But I had to catch that duck to take him to the vet and he didn't like being caught.
