If the insurance covers it all I'll be getting all 4 removed plus a root that was left when my tooth rooted from the inside out and fell apart. That and the same morning I'll have 3 fillings. :'D But the way my wisdom teeth are at the bottom, they are now getting infected.

The problem is..I'm moving out come November and won't have any insurance cause I'm under my mom's. And if they don't cover and are cheap enough we can't afford it and I don't get them done. Which means I have to suffer longer and possibly get a cyst till I can start working and get my own insurance...which won't be as good as my mothers which means I'll have to save which means even longer suffering.......

And Tylenol is working fine for me. Just woke up and it hurts..

If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? [I know it's some archaic ettiquete to never ask a lady her age, but eh...] I ask because I've spent the whole YEAR, quite literally, going through an insurance dilemna, myself. My parents (dad, stepmom, and her well off parents) wished to stop paying my blue shield, as I'm 24. However, I have severe back problems and a number of mental 'things' going on as well. It took me the first few months of the year just to figure out where to go to get help. In March I finally filled out 20+ pages of paperwork and had it submitted by April. Of course the State moves on "State Time", and needed more information (20 more pages of paperwork), and they even sent me for a psychiatric analysis on their dime. They finally, as in a week ago, 'determined' that I was indeed disabled and therefore qualified for Medi-Cal, California's state insurance (the other ways to qualify are to be over 65 years old which I'm not, or pregnant which I'm DEFINATELY not).

So unless you can spend a year trying to get yourself 'declared' disabled on an official level, your best bet would be to look for a job that comes with insurance.

So many people (both lower socio-economic status people and young 'fresh out of college and off their parents insurance' folk) have holy hell waiting for them, trying to figure out what to do about insurance on their own. Not fun. At all. :( I feel for you.

I'm 18, but gonna be 19 four days before I move in with my boyfriend across the country. (US) But I believe 19 I'm cut off unless I'm a student, which I won't be for a few more years due to money as well and lack there of. Heh.

The problem is..My mom works in NJ and we live in DE. The DE Dentist told us that in DE that they cover everything but the copay which was only $25. But they don't know how BCBS works in NJ........So it could cover all or only half, and in that case we surely don't have the money for half since that would be a fortune... That and the dental insurance only covers the fillings so that's like $180 or was it $280 they said... Anywho, that's still a lot for us. SO I may have to put that date for fillings later and may only be able to get 2 if any teeth pulled... >< I haven't been to the dentist 10 years till I went a month ago. Or doctors which I went to a few months ago. XD I'm so behind cause we are so poor. :'D

Mari-chan- Up until approximately 6 weeks ago I haven't had a doctor to call my own for about 10 years either. When I needed the occasional shot or whatever in high school, my parents took me to my little brother's pediatrician. When I was in college I saw the school nurse-practioner whenever I was ill or needed medication.

The only reason I have a "primary care" doctor now is because after 3 Emergency Room trips for my chronic pain, I need to get into the Chronic Pain Management clinic, but they insisted you had to have a "primary care doctor" before doing that. Bah.

xD I still don't have a doctor of my own. I've vistited like 1 doctor, 2 different gynos (since I'm a woman. -w-'') And now 3 dentists? Something like that. LOL I think the same people will be doing my fillings but different people who I only met once will do the pullings. :'D I'ma be asleep with strangers... >> And the nurse looks like she may stab me. XD

Mari-chan- Haven't your parents warned you? You're not supposed to take candy from strangers, or walk with strangers, let alone sleep with strangers o.o

Well we met online 2 years ago and he visited once for a week, then a year later he moved in with me and the rents. Lived with us for 9 months and had to move out. -w-'' And now he has an apt waiting for me when I can move out. :D

Are you still in school?

Graduated in June. ;w; 10 days after he had to move out. And we've yet to spend one anniversary together. XD

Ours is in July. Missed the first one of course cause we were LD but he moved out a month later...August...Then he moved out in June which is the month before. XD So I'm excited to spend it with him for our 3rd. ;w;
