So the guy I have a date with on Tuesday I met a couple of years ago but we only started talking more this year. He's really funny and I like him but what makes me hesitant is that he's a typical 22 year old and I'm not. I'm a single mom and I'm really driven and determined to getting where I want to be in five years. He's still not sure what he wants to do and he pretty much flunked out of college his freshmen year. He's a partier - or was? He doesn't do it as often anymore. But he was big into drugs and some of the stories he told me just...bug me because my mom was a drug addict and I think using drugs is retarded. He came to a class we have together high one day and I was pissed. Partially because it wasn't weed that he was high on. And I gave him shit about it. But it's hard for me to let myself like someone who's so irresponsible at times.

I think there was more I was going to say but I got distracted. >.>;

Well maybe it would be good to give him a chance. I mean if
he really likes you there is a chance he'll change for you. Even
so one date shouldn't be to bad. Give him a chance. He could
surprise you :D

Hahaha, yeah, I don't hold any beliefs whatsoever that I can change someone.
From watching my mom relapse five times, too, I don't hold a lot of belief people can change either. [He got REALLY mad when I told him that, haha.] But I don't see the harm in one date either.
