I keep telling him if he wants me to stop then he needs to get his butt in gear and give me one of my own to stalk and coo at....

I smile...and wave...and make faces....and sometimes talk to them and their parents if I can come up with the slightest viable excuse. :ninja: Thankfully I'm about as threatening as your average house plant so people don't tend to freak out when I talk to their kids. I also have enough sense not to do what my grandmother does. lol. ^_^' She'll walk up to a child and say things like, "You're so cute! Don't you want to go home with me?" and the parents pull the kids back nervously and we just shake our heads and try to explain that you can't say stuff like that these days. lol. Someone is going to call the cops on her one of these days. O_o'

Broseph: I hate when kids stare at me, it always makes me feel funny. I don't usually coo at little kids but I think it's fun to talk the slightly older ones, they usually have cute things to say. ^^;

Well, I don't actually coo at them. I talk to them, ask them questions and such. I don't believe in baby talk.

I talk to my animals but like I would a normal person.

My dog loves that stuff, though. His tail gets to waggin' so fast he almost falls over. xD
He's an old guy though and I suspect he understands Spanish better than English.

Hehe I'm probably one of those creepy ladies who love to talk to little kids all the time. Except I'm not really creepy I just enjoy baby smiles and talking with little kids from say 3-6 as they're so adorable at that age.

Speaking of kids, I found out my two stepkids are staying at a motel right now as their mom is arguing with her boyfriend right now. Starting to wonder if things will cool off or if we will have to step in. My husband says things probably will be fine and that a.)this isn't the first time and b.)Pam didn't seem the least bit upset. It's still seems really wrong that they would fight to the degree she'd have to do that. I've never fought with Aaron to the point where I'd want to like physically live somewhere else for a couple days.

Oh and I talk to my animals too. Probably like you would a 2-3 year old too. Not so much 'baby cooing' but I'll sit and talk in funny voices as it's unbelievably cute to watch the dog cock her head when you do. She understands certain words, for sure...but obviously doesn't understand them in context as you can say "I'm not going to get the mail." and she'll still go apeshit. She loves getting the mail with me...

I talk to kids like I do adults, most of the time. Though a little girl was showing me her band-aid in a restaurant and I asked if she got an "owie." I don't think that really counts as baby talk, though. She nodded at me and then turned back to her parents. She was so freaking adorable. Almost makes me want another. xD Almost.

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a happy situation for this kids. Especially if it's not the first time. But maybe the kids' mom is a bit of a drama queen? She feels like she's proving a point by removing herself physically? Not necessarily that the fighting is that bad. Which is still lame.
