I've seen a lot of places use the battle ship idea.
I'd have the items for the set scattered around the board and the person who happens to find the most pieces of the set, wins the set.

Butttt...I think it'd take a lot of updating and I don't recall if it's ever been very successful. *keeps brain storming*

Like, War the card game? Random dice roll for the card. Each person gets a number of cards, person who wins the most cards at the end gets a prize?

every day or something, you could dice roll a card. People diceroll to beat that card. If they beat it, they get a point, if they don't, no points.

Nah, I'm too lazy to keep track of points a lot of the time.
I could do a dice roll sort of thing, though.

Maybe like assign each item in a set a random number and people have to roll and try to collect the most of a set?
