Hm... you could keep the cat calm. :) Or put storm shutters up. If you have them. Duck tape on windows don't really work (although I am sure you been known that).
I remember I use to watch every hurricane special as a kid after Andrew hit. I wasn't in South Dade, but still I hated the hurricane shelter. :-/ |
We don't have those. Just have to hope for the best.

The closest I've come to experiencing a hurricane were strong winds and lots of rain and evacuation at one point. :/

*huggles* Hurricanes are pretty much just rain and wind...lots of both. O_o' So far things are not too bad but the worst is supposed to hit us around 2 AM EST. We'll see how things look then.

Broseph: Looks like we're going to get lots of wind and rain here but not until Saturday night or Sunday. People here are going nuts even though there haven't been any serious warnings. They've pretty much bought out the grocery store that I work at. Today was one of the most frustrating days at work ever.

I got rolls. That got smushed by the packer. One single bag of rolls. I think we'll manage, there's already plenty here in my opinion. I think we could do with some water but that's about it. Even if the power goes out the water still runs here though so I don't foresee any problems. I have some bottled drinks that should get me by for a few days if necessary.

We are getting rained on now. lol. It seems like it won;t be quite as bad as they were thinking it might be, but the wind is still supposed to get bad and there is a tornado watch as well. >_<' Those scare me far worse than hurricanes.

@ Zig- My friend in Jersey told me some guys were fighting over milk. I just had a :O moment in my head. She told me it was the refrigerated kind too. That made me even more shocked. Don't people know you need powdered milk, canned milk, or non-refrigerated milk during the hurricane. :S
Anyways, I hope everyone is safe during the storm and remember, DO NOT GO OUTSIDE DURING A HURRICANE. Sorry for the capslock, but I wanted to make it clear. |
