I'm on Long Island. They haven't made any announcements that we should evacuate the area.

It wasn't a big hurricane. If it keeps losing power as it sweeps up the coast, it will most likely be pretty minor by the time it hits Zig-land. ^_^' We lost power a few times, with two of those times staying off for a few hours. That and some tree damage is it for here. Praying our house held up as well.

My mom keeps sending me these text messages about how scared she is for me because she keeps hearing awful things on the news like how people are dying because a tree fell on their house, etc. but I really don't think it's going to be that bad here. The winds are only supposed to be like 55mph here when the storm hits. It's really supposed go over New York City and not where I am on the island.
