Morning guys. Nervous about this interview so I woke up really early lol.

Interview fail. :( I can't believe how much harder that was over the phone than in person.
I don't think I'll get the position.

Oh comon now! Think positively!! Did he ask really hard questions or something?

Carn - One of them was really hard. "Tell me about a problem you've had in the workplace that you've solved with just your interpersonal skills." Blah. And it wasn't that they were hard it was just that I couldn't judge his reaction well over the phone.

The thing that has me down is he mentioned, towards the end, that they usually look for people who are certified but he's going to present my information and see if they might make an exception. [I'm only licensed atm.]

At the end he made me feel a little better by saying he feels like I'm doing all the right things to get into pharmacy school and even if I get a "no" from the schools this year I should keep going the way I am because I just need to find the right combination to get in. He was very pleasant. I just hope I impressed him enough with some of my past that he'll highly recommend they hire me even though I'm just licensed.

That would be a tough question to answer >.< and reactions are always tough over the phone plus he probably was trying to be impartial about your answers so he didn't influence them. But besides that it sounds like you made a good impression on him!! :P When do you find out if you got the job?

And how do you get certified? Is that what you get after going to pharmacy school?

He said he'd let me know in the next day or so. Idk. It might be different for the pharmacy but when I got the deli job it was the same day as my interview.

And no. To be a pharm tech you have to take an exam and stuff to get certified. I have my license which means I can work as a pharm tech but not as many people will be willing to hire me. Pharmacy school is a whole different thing. Though COCC now has a pharm tech program.!

Mum, but if you think I am going to go back to school for that after working four years for a bachelor's degree you can just kiss my white butt.

Estrella - :lol: haha! What would you do with a masters in pharm anyways? Does it just make it easier for you to get hired or does it qualify you to do other special things?

It really does. I don't know what I was thinking with the secondary ed degree in math :XD
