*licks the thread* Hello peoples. I am on for a bit. I have a bit of a sinus headache so I don't know how long I'll be on. If it gets worse I may have to kill the light an that will end my internet time for the night because this thing has no backlight. O_o'

Thanks for the sympathy Strelly. I am pretty much over it now. He had been really puling away from everyone for the last couple years. I think he was ready to go. Hopefully he and my grandmother are together again now. *shrugs* It was really just hard going through the house and all my grandmother's collections to divide them up between all four kids and a heap of grandkids and great grands. She collected LOTS of stuff, most of which I spent my whole childhood either playing with or ogling through glass. The house has to be cleaed out and anything that doesn't get taken by the family will be sold and added to the estate. Then the house will be sold too. It hurts to think of someone else owning the house. They lived there my whole life. I have so many good memories tied there. But it has to be done in order to settle the estate. Makes me really grateful my husband was an only child...as hard as it was when his Dad died at least we didnt have a freaking house to sell or other kids to parcel inheritnce out to... not that Dad had much to inherit. *shrugs*

I hope your sinus infection gets better soon! And that sounds like a ton of work :( I hope it all goes ok and it isn't too difficult to get everything settled. I remember when my grandpa died, it took a while for my uncle to get the house sold and then there were a bunch of plumbing problems or some such >.<! So yeah! I hope you don't have plumbing problems and the like! :yes:

most miyazaki movies are fabulous!

The animation was absolutely gorgeous.

it's always amazing :yes: i still sit in awe when i watch howl's moving castle or spirited away because every little detail is just perfect

I agree. I liked the little details in this one a lot. Howl's Moving Castle is probably my favorite in terms of the story but in terms of the art, I feel I enjoyed Arrietty more.

i have seen the other borrower movies, but miyazaki always sort of adds his own twist... same with the ponyo :)

I wasn't a fan of the older "live action" borrow movies. I thought them to be sort of ugly, or at least a bit drab. But yeah, Miyazaki did a great job of making the story his own as usual.

there was one borrowers movie that my brother used to watch but i don't remember much about it except the people looked funny lol

It's probably the one I'm thinking of. I think the mom had some crazy red fro...

Yeah, that's really all I remember about it. The colors were drab and the mom had some really frizzy read hair. ^^;

i do remember there being lots of the warm tones, reds and oranges

I remember a lot of browns...

I love Miyazaki. He's pretty amazing. Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorites.
I don't think he directed Arriety, though, did he?

And my daughter has a show she likes to watch called The Littles.
It's pretty annoying and I don't know how she found it.

He helped with the storyboards for the movie but didn't really do the animation work himself.

I haven't heard of that show. What channel is it on?
