i took my car in for an oil/transmission change.....it came out needing a whole lot more.
like five hundred dollars.

Did you go to the dealers garage? *has a bad opinion of all dealer mechanics :ninja:* It's been my experience a couple of times that they are out to sell you/make you think you need more stuff done than is necessary. Last winter my mom took her car into the dealers place for an oil change deal and after they told her she needed $500+ work done to it cause this was bad and that was bad and all the fluids needed to be flushed and replaced... I was there and was like WHOA... Hold on. Took it to our local mechanic and he couldn't understand why the dealer mechanics said all that stuff needed to be change :/ Just my two cents! ^^!

Question #1! How would you all feel about increasing the price of the tickets by an order of magnitude? So instead of 5g a piece, they would be 50g a piece?

Increasing the price would mean people would buy less tickets, giving everyone a more equal chance of winning. So I'm for it.

As for CI, an older one would be awesome in my opinion. ^^

I chose ice cream.. by the time i got there i was so hot iw as melting so ice cream won and as fo rthe CI's.. well For the june raffle I'd go ethir way I'd like a newer ci but then i also want a LOT of the older ones......

as for the price.. meh I..guess we could go up to 50g....

i'm good with raising the price for each raffle ticket.
it would help revenue and level the playing field a bit.
i would say on older contribution item,
if you have them tucked away.

i subscribe to this thread and i lurk for the most part and i do not participate in the raffles because they are items i own already so i am still missing some older ones and i'd be more likely to participate if it's something i don't already have because i don't want to be a hoarder

oh and yes on upping the price
