It's the 5th book in this series called the Sevenwaters Cycle.... The first book is called Daughter of the Forest, and is a play off the folktale about the King who had 6 sons and 1 daughter... He remarries and his new wife turns the 6 sons into swans, and in order for the daughter to save her brothers, she has to remain mute and make from scratch 6 shirts out of thorns for her brothers to put on..... So she lives as a hermit and does this task, mutilating her hands

Yeah the weather reports here keep saying "warm warm warm!" And it snowed last night, didn't get above 40 here today which it was supposed to do. and it dropped below freezing before the day was over and had some freezing fog roll through too. Weather station is fired...

That sounds slick! Hows driving been? My friend was over playing computer games last night and we didn't know it had snowed yet so when we went out he was all "oh crap!" (he drives a honda accord) He said it took him 45 minutes to get home it was so slippery. normally it's like a 15 minute drive...
