Hey sushi. I'm ok, how are you?
The only type dolls I collect are porcelain and it's been a few years since I even shopped for those. |
I'm good! ^^
I don't collect dolls. The way there eyes are bug me. D: Because I have this fear that they will become alive and night. >_< |
lol....I'm surprised I'm not like that since I hate Chucky. My one aunt use to have a doll that looked similar to him and when I'd spend the night at her house I wouldn't get much sleep because I was afraid that it'd come to life and kill us or something. >.<
The only ones that really bother me are the plastic and vinyl dolls...ones similar to Chucky. Darn my grandparents for letting me watch that movie when I was only 5. |
....I think I was supposed to be sleeping when I saw it and my parents were watching it (was young enough to sleep in parents' bed) and I watched it with them not knowing. Darn my curiosity. >.<
I used to sometimes be scared to go shower alone because I always thought taht when I shower and close my eyes to rinse my hair, and I open them again, that he's going to jump me like that and stab me to death. D: My friends had this really lovely porcelain doll that looked very elegant and all that jazz but whenever I slept over, they would have it in the same room because the doll was always in the guest room and it would somehow be placed across the end of the bed, staring at me and sitting up. >_> It freaked me out so much!! And I also remember my mother buying this elegant special collector's edition doll that would usually cost like $45-$70 but was actually given to us. And it was still in its' box and everything and I told my mom that me and my sister were scared of dolls like that so we ended up just stuffing it into a box in the basement. ; _; Then on Christmas, we got another given to each of us and it was a nice gesture and everything but we gave it back to them. . . I don't like dolls.... I prefer the ones made out of yarn or cloths or plastics like barbie and stuff. >_> But even with Barbies, they stay in the closet with the door closed when I sleep... xD |
Aww and I know the feeling. I was ok with barbies and dolls like that, but they were usually kept in the playroom or in my closet when I wasn't playing with them. My porcelain doll collection isn't even in my bedroom. It's in the spareroom. Of course I don't really have room for the 60+ dolls in my bedroom and it wouldn't take long for my dogs to break them if they got the chance, lol.
|
lol. 60+?! That's an insane collection you got there, Rosie. I bet all of them are in their elegant little dresses of lovely? xDD Do you keep them on shelves or do you place them around the room like on cabinets, on the beds and such? |
Yes it is, lol.
That they are and they're so pretty. Right now they are just kind of stacked around. I have never taken any of them out of their boxes because I don't want them to lose their value. Eventually I hope to have a big cabinet or two to store and display them in. |
I'm not quite sure how many Barbies I've managed to behead while brushing their hair. >_>
I just stopped playing with them because they were best looked at than played with in the long run. I got back to having dolls, more like a doll, when 2 - 3 years ago when I decided I wanted a BJD. xD It was a major upgrade from Barbie though. Wigs, clothes... There was so much you could customize with them. Though I have yet to do extreme modifications of any sort with mine. I'm happy with their face/make up right now so I haven't changed that yet. The wigs, I try to keep a modest collection of em whenever I can. Though I don't have much wigs for him to use. Yes. It's a boy. xD Despite people thinking otherwise because he has a hour glass figure and a round face. @[email protected] I didn't know he had hips until I opened the box! |
Hello everyone~
woah, thats an insane number of dolls, rose. XD lol. |
xD; Well... Porcelain dolls possess a OOAK beauty to them. You can't quite get two porcelain dolls (of different batches I mean) that have the same caliber or quality to them.
It's a totally different story if they're the mass produced sort now. @[email protected] |
Yeah, some of what I have are the mass produced kind and others are collector/limited edition ones. I haven't really gotten around to getting any custom made ones. Those are really expensive. Plus I'm not the one that bought most of the dolls I have. Almost all of them were gifts for my birthday, Christmas, or just because.

insane asyluuum~~

*bounces around*
The poor asylum is barely open and surviving.... |
IF you keep them in their boxes and keep them in mint condition, I bet your collection could sell for a lot more than what you got it for in the future. :')
It would look very nice if they were in elegant cabinets and had their own room. xD |
i want a blyyyyyyyythe doll
|
Yes it would...though I get weird ideas like that. If I could have a custom house built the one wall in my dinning room would be mostly taken up by a custom built fishtank filled with live plants and tropical freshwater fish.
|
lmao fishtanks. xD
My friend is going to move to a house with a saltwater pool in the backyard and I told her to go to get sea horses and starfish. xD |
lol, that would be neat
|
It's not entirely weird. xD
Having water around is good feng shui... If you believe in that. Also, it also has a calming effect. Hence some restaurants, like the seafood types, have fish tanks, aquariums in their vicinity. ^^ ...Though I think it's also partly to distract people when food is taking too long to arrive. xD |
*drags some people in here*
I feel like donating to some people today. |
whitebeast: I like to look at the fishes and I make faces at them when I see them. xD
Rose; don't you always? ;D |
lol, not always...but a lot of the time I do. Which sometimes is bad if I'm hardcore questing
|
awwww *huggles*
|
